I watch very little of it but it's important to remember that all of us on this forum, regardless of any specific political differences, are alike in that we are FAR on the fringe of people who keep up with this political/current events stuff. The overwhelming majority of people take info in passively, not actively. So they "know" what's going on from entertainment media and late night talk shows and social media and mainstream news and so on.
My point is just that, we need to at least be aware and acknowledge that the masses are seeing a totally different world than we are, and everyone should look occasionally at what the masses are exposed to daily for some perspective.
When I see things on this forum commonly like "I don't watch ESPN because it's so left wing", or "I dropped Disney+ because it's so liberal", or "I only watch Newsmax for news".. well that's fine, but then at the same time there's so much disbelief around here that anybody would vote ever Democrat. It's because mass media/pop culture is repeating nonstop that Republicans are evil racists are Democrats are all that's good about humanity, and we may not watch it, but most people take in a ton of it. Take a look once in a while and then people around here may not be so shocked by some of the turds that regularly win elections.
