Transitioning encouragement cards. I'm going to have to shop less at HEB if this is the stuff they are starting to support

I don't get the outrage.
Its a very small portion of a very small section of their card department.
I don't see anything that is about minors or anything similar.
The fact of the matter is that LGBTQ adults are going to continue to exist, regardless of whether we like it or not. Why should they not be able to buy printed cards for pride month? It is a demo that exists and has retail demands to fill and make money from.
If we are serious about the statement that the upset about the "trans issue" is about children and encouraging them to make permanent decisions based on temporary emotions that will have devastating effects down the line, then the mere mention of trans anything can't cause immediate pearl clutching.
If this becomes an attack on any and all thins "trans", we're going to lose.
Because it's a mental illness and we should not be pretending that it is any way normal behavior.
The thing is, history has shown that something is only not normal until it is.
Seeing biracial couples was not Normal behavior just a couple of generations ago. Now it's pretty normal to see.
Seeing gays being open about their sexual identities wasn't normal a couple of gene ago. Now it's as normal as anything.
When you've got greeting cards in the biggest grocery store in the biggest state (Alaska never counts) like this... it's pretty much on its way to being normal.
