Someone mentioned earlier that one of the few ways out of Marlin for kids is the military. When you drive through downtown on Business 7 they have these banners up honoring all of the kids that went to Marlin and joined the armed forces. There must be 30 of those signs.
I imagine a lot of those kids have never been out of Central Texas. Whether they do 5 years or 20 I cannot see any of them coming back to Marlin to raise their families after seeing the rest of the country/world.
