This far left virtue signaling is nothing new for them. Check out what happened when they refused the order from a natural gas company a couple of years ago for jackets to be given to employees for safety awards.

There's an outdoors store here and I needed a new day pack about a year ago. About 90% of what they had one their rack was by North Face. I made sure to tell them why they didn't get my business.

I wasn't purchasing either but I have three North Face products. A light jacket I have had for probably 10 years, a gift from the wife, it's hanging on my desk chair right now. It's one of the finest articles of clothing I have ever owned in terms of quality and usability. I have a NF fleece that was a gift from a previous employer that is pretty awesome. Finally, a backpack that was a gift that I have travelled with for years.

They make great stuff.

Unlike the dolts that burned their $100 NFL jerseys over "kneeling" I am will not do so with my NF stuff, it's good stuff. But I'll never spend a dime on their products. Ever. Their ridiculous refusal to sell to O&G companies a couple of years ago sealed their fate. F them.

This has to be all ESG driven, right? There's no way the market size or spend of these people justifies the pandering they receive.

i think their target customer base is faux mountain men from Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Boulder, etc., so maybe they don't care about ****** mountain wear commercials.

I just don't understand why companies- any retail company especially - would think it's a good idea to intentionally drive away huge segments of potential customers. There's a way to be neutral or at least more tactful on sensitive political issues so you can make more $ or at least not Gillette or bud light yourself. How did social / political virtue signaling messaging become more important than making $?

I feel like there's some assassin trans out there that are holding CEOs hostage and making their companies put s*** like this out there.
