She's definitely a psycho. And losing her job is not enough she should be charged with assault.

The unhinged Manhattan college professor who went viral for cursing out anti-abortion students shockingly held a machete to a Post reporter's neck Tuesday and made wild threats that she was going to "chop" him up.

Shellyne Rodriguez spewed the menacing remarks when The Post knocked on the door of her Bronx apartment Tuesday morning a day after she made headlines for flipping out on pro-life students at Hunter College.

"Get the **** away from my door, or I'm gonna chop you up with this machete!" the manic adjunct art professor shouted from behind her closed door just moments after veteran reporter Reuven Fenton identified himself.

Seconds later, Rodriguez barged out and alarmingly put the blade to the reporter's neck.

"Get the **** away from my door! Get the **** away from my door!" she raged before retreating back into her apartment and slamming the door.
Quote:

Vince DiMiceli, a spokesman for Hunter College, told The Post Tuesday afternoon that Rodriguez had been fired.

"Hunter College strongly condemns the unacceptable actions of Shellyne Rodriguez and has taken immediate action," he said. "Rodriguez has been relieved of her duties at Hunter College effective immediately, and will not be returning to teach at the school."

Mostly peaceful unhinged Manhattan college professor.

(she's probably so unhinged because she's had to spell her name out every damn time she tells someone what it is. S h e l l y n e. <--I mean, WTF!!)

Not only is she an unhinged psycho...she probably lives in a messy outdated 300 SF apartment that most normal people would not be able to tolerate. She is probably unimaginably miserable and unsatisfied with life...and she will die that way. I am trying very hard not to take delight in that.
We are rapidly headed towards a country where we have millions, no, tens of millions of women like this. No husbands, no children, no grandchildren. We aint seen nothing yet my friend. The mental health disaster hasn't even scratched the surface.

It's why I can no longer just shrug and say not my problem. Be trans. Be middle aged and single and without children. Not my problem you screwed up your life. I can't. Because they vote, and they interact with the rest of society. They don't just live quietly on their own with their cats. Ticking time bombs. This is what denying nature, the very things we are hard wired to want and desire, does to people over time.

I am all about science. Science tells me I want to smell my wife's hair and grab her butt when she walks by. Science backed up my need to make babies with her. Science is on my side when I prioritize her and our sons above all else. We are herd animals that need love, sex, affection, family, procreation, and so on. Denying nature and the natural order is denying science.

But you're not at all wrong. She is probably completely miserable and unsatisfied with her lonely life. This is the destruction that white liberals have brought upon society.

They said she's been fired. I hope she's not sent to another campus. She really should be arrested and have assault charges brought against her.

Given recent actions of NY prosecution the reporter will likely be charged with trespassing, harassment, and citing s riot.

Arrested and charged w/ "harassment and menacing".

Why not aggravated assault w/ a deadly weapon?

In New York, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon only applies if the victim is injured (it's considered first or second degree assault, depending on whether or not the injury is serious). Texas doesn't require injury to be charged with it.

Shellyne Rodriguez, 45, was charged with three misdemeanors second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon as well as menacing, which is a violation.

All the charges are "non-bail eligible offenses," according to the Bronx District Attorney's Office, so she was released on her own recognizance after her court appearance Thursday.

The article says she was charged with menacing twice, but the second time it says menacing is supposed to be harassment

I heard today they are trying to say the cameraman and reporter were "trespassing" because they did not use the intercom to gain access to the building. That may get the charge for machete to neck thrown and then left with the chasing them down in the street.

That's not an analysis of the law, that's an analysis of the NYC legal system which has no basis in laws.

Waiting for the reporter and photographer to be brought up on federal hate crimes. Regardless, the art professor is working on a collaboration with Hunter for a new art project and both may be invited to the WH to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom for their contributions to the arts in the USA.

The District Attorney's Office in the Bronx has set a disposition date for Shellyne Rodriguez, a machete-wielding New York City professor who allegedly threatened to "chop up" a New York Post reporter, Fox News Digital has learned.

A spokeswoman for the DA's office said a status hearing was held Monday to confirm that the DA's office was in compliance with all the discoveries and evidence in the case.

The spokeswoman confirmed that everything was satisfactory and the date of Aug. 14, 2023, was set for a possible disposition.

The court also extended the order of protection until at least that date for the reporter, Ruven Fenton, and the photographer, Robert Miller, who were involved in the alleged machete incident.

Rodriguez insists she's the real victim and has said the entire incident "has taken a toll" on her mental health.

She told ARTnews that the college "capitulated" to "racists, white nationalists, and misogynists."

Adjunct... Most likely on contract. Contract was not renewed.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/nyc-professor-threatened-reporter-machete-pleads-guilty-menacing

A New York City college professor who threatened a reporter while wielding a machete in May, pled guilty in court on Monday to menacing.

As part of the plea deal, 45-year-old Shellyne Rodriguez must complete 13 months of behavioral therapy.

Her next court date is scheduled for May 15, 2024, which is intended to ensure Rodriguez complies with the terms of the plea agreement.

In May, Rodriguez was seen on video lunging from her apartment and into the hallway where she held a machete to veteran New York Post reporter Reuven Fenton's throat.

Fenton knocked on her door for comment after Rodriguez, then a professor at Hunter College, lashed out at students at a table with anti-abortion materials.

Rodriguez reportedly blasted the anti-abortion material as "f- - -ing propaganda" before throwing items from the display.

After lunging at Fenton, Rodriguez followed him to the street, NYPD said, and chased him with a machete.

Rodriguez has since been fired from Hunter College and now works at the Cooper Union School of Art, which is a private school in Manhattan.

She is listed as an adjunct professor on the school's website, which also says she is teaching a 3-credit sculpture class during the fall semester.
