And yet the media claims everyone there was team Trump and booed the other candidates off the stage.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

agreed, should go w/ Vivek.
Vivek may not qualify for the 4th Debate at this rate, he's fading badly. It's Trump, DeSantis, or maybe Haley. Trump has by far the tallest climb in the General.

I mostly agree with this.

I think the difference maker in the general is going to be motivation; are people going to be fired up to vote for DeSantis DeSantis over Biden?
Both Trump and Biden are known quantities and desantis is not(at least on the national level).
In the general, it's Trump, the MAGA voters will be motivated. Many hardcore conservatives that aren't necessary all in on Trump will be too.

However, there will be a good sized contingent of GOP voters that will be lukewarm to downright reluctant to vote for him.

Elections have consequences.

overcoming 81,000,000 is impossible no matter who the right rolls out.

Yeah, DeSantis should definitely drop out. I mean he has no momentum and no one wants to hear from him. I mean compared to Trump at the same event it was just embarrassing, right?

Maybe there is something of a race left to play here. Iowa governor endorsed DeSantis.

Trump still talking up the jab but thinks because he opposed mandates he should get a pass. Actually you should be thanking him if you are really MAGA.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds to endorse Ron DeSantis for president Monday as Donald Trump fumes

Gov. Kim Reynolds' decision to endorse Ron DeSantis angered Donald Trump, who has already accused Reynolds of being insufficiently loyal

Brianne Pfannenstiel Des Moines Register

After months of quietly signaling her support for Ron DeSantis, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds will formally endorse the Florida governor for president at a Des Moines rally Monday, sources close to both confirmed to the Des Moines Register.

The endorsement is an enormous win for DeSantis, who hopes to harness Reynolds' star power among Iowa Republicans as he looks to jumpstart his stagnant campaign and establish himself as a clear alternative to front-runner Donald Trump in the race's critical final months.

Reynolds plans to speak at DeSantis' predebate rally Monday as well as a Davenport meet-and-greet Tuesday morning. She will then fly to Miami to help him fundraise around Wednesday's debate.

In an Oct. 25 call with Iowa reporters, DeSantis said earning Reynolds' formal endorsement would be "a huge get" for his campaign.

Trump influencers have been pushing the Waka Flacka endorsement as more important than Kim Reynolds. Then they throw out logic like this:

In April 2015, Malphurs announced that he was running for president, despite the fact he was below the constitutionally required age of 35, as he was only 30 by the time of the 2016 United States presidential election. His platform included legalizing marijuana, raising the minimum hourly wage to $15, and creating better trade opportunities for school students. His other proposals included banning dogs from restaurants and making it illegal for people with shoe sizes above 13 to walk on the street. He also seemed to be dismissive of Congress, and had an anti-war stance. Former professional wrestler Ric Flair was his running mate.

How did DeSantis-endorsed candidates do last night? I know there was at least one Trump-endorsed one who didn't win the Kentucky governorship…

The only real Trump/DeSantis endorsement battle was Kentucky last night because Trump was so vocal about Cameron and DeSantis backed his opponent in the Primary. Most of the other races that went the other way were State Leg that didn't have involvement from either really.

I don't think all the blame falls on Trump for Cameron losing but I do know if he won he would certainly take all the credit. Beshear was a strong candidate who had more money and McDaniel of course didn't do enough while Trump never does anything more than give an endorsement and think that his brand is all it takes to win. He certainly doesn't give them money and I don't think he did any events for Cameron.

interesting that somehow DeSantis was "crying and begging" for Trump's endorsement in 2018 (that's laughable)

and yet DeSantis won in 2018 when the GOP was demolished across the country.

at the same time Trump and his cronies only take credit for SOMEONE ELSE winning

and not Trump losing the House in 2018, losing his own Presidential race to Biden in 2020, and losing the Senate in 2021 and 2022

does DeSantis run around the country bragging how his endorsement is the sole reason people get elected,

while simultaneously denying he has anything to do with it when his endorsed candidates lose easy elections?

oh yeah, that would be Donald Trump doing that.
