Looks like the debate bumps are baked in now, and the brief momentum gained is waning...
Looks like they have included some crap polls as well, the variances are massive from Trump up 20 to Trump up in the 40s. The more likely to vote and the more phone favors DeSantis, the more small sample size/RV or internet/text the more it favors Trump. Which one is easier to manipulate?

Cernovich so clearly flipped on DeSantis when he realized 1)DeSantis folks weren't going to give him a job or let him run the campaign and 2)Backing Trump meant he would get more clicks from bots and others which resulted in more $$ for him. He's the worst kind of sellout because he knows DeSantis would be a much more effective President and can beat the Democrats.

He's a grifter, like many of the people clinging to Trump. A few like Loomer are true believers.

That sentiment was particularly strong in Sioux County, where I spent half of my trip. The area, in Iowa's far-northwest corner, is home to the nation's largest concentration of Dutch Americans, a devoutly religious and conservative population. The county has backed religious and cultural conservatives in GOP caucuses since 1996. It is so conservative that it supported religious conservative Gary Bauer over the more moderate George W. Bush in the 2000 caucuses, as did two neighboring counties.

It wasn't hard to find churchgoing evangelicals in the area considering Trump alternatives. In fact, not a single person I spoke to was planning to support Trump in the caucuses, although they all said they would grudgingly vote for him in the general election.

That's why Charlie Kirk was begging DeSantis to transfer Never Back Down to them a couple days ago.

Quote:

Former President Donald Trump is running out of other people's money to spend on his legal bills, which could total in the tens of millions of dollars if he takes all four of his criminal cases to trial.

His key fund has spent nearly all of the more than $150 million it raised, and is sitting on less than $4 million, according to the latest numbers available. He's already dug into his fund for 2024 ads, and borrowed money to post bail in Georgia. And some of his allies are begging for donations, saying he won't pony up.

The big rallies cost about $1 million each to put on and they aren't bringing in much in return. It's mainly small donors and supporters showing up.

Trump needs big money folks that can write big checks to his PAC and all the big money folks want nothing to do with paying his legal bills. They also don't believe he will win.

That costs money, flights, security, arena, etc., probably more money than he'd bring in. Plus, I'm sure his attorneys don't want him saying much about the cases, but he doesn't have the self-discipline to avoid that.

He wants free earned media.

His money is tied up in hard assets that don't throw off a ton of cash flow. This is a terrible time to sell really expensive luxury properties btw.

Trump is so screwed and simply bringing that up makes people think you are happy about it, it's just reality.

If ALL his money is tied up in hard, illiquid assets then he's not nearly as smart as he and his minions think he is.

Trump is never going to finance his own anything. It's why he is rich to begin with - risk other peoples' money. It's a strategy that has gotten him where he is, and there is no chance that anything will change.

It's not all tied up I'm sure but he's definitely going to have to start making some hard choices if he hasn't already made them. Trump lives an incredibly extravagant lifestyle as does his family, that takes a lot of money to keep going. Truth Social is also a cash burn for him, he really thought he would be able to sell that and make some money but Elon buying Twitter made it almost worthless. I'm sure he has other assets in stocks and bonds as well but he also likely has a LOT of debt and debt service.

One definite flaw DeSantis has is he doesn't brag nearly enough about his accomplishments. He just kind of mentioned off hand that the Insurance Reforms that they enacted this year have resulted in 4 new Insurance companies moving IN to Florida with a 5th on the way. Insurance companies leaving and costs have been one of the very few criticisms of him and he just takes action and makes improvements but doesn't make a big deal about it.

He just keeps working and solving problems.

I hadn't heard that at all. Well done. We need serious tort reform in Texas or we're going to have carriers pulling out on the commercial insurance side which is going to Jack up our costs of basically everything.

Nowhere does it say there he's giving $50 million to Trump. It just says he secured $50 million in pledges which they never got. They only raised under $2 million (READY TO WIN - committee overview | FEC). Hard to take that journalist seriously when that's not even that super PAC's name anymore.

Lots of red flags in that article about that guy. It's all Trump talking points and critiques and a guy who was an early Trump backer before. He raised $20k but said he was going to raise $50 million? Then he says Desantis is hoping that Trump gets more indictments and convictions as the only way to save him?

So basically a "DeSantis backer" who never raised any actual money for DeSantis?

Amazing that we post hundreds of articles on this thread detailing the actual reality of policies, news, strategies, historical trends between Trump and DeSantis..

and on the other threads those who support Trump are reduced to ad hominem personal attacks on every DeSantis supporter.

Just like on Twitter X where the DeSantis supporters post news about what DeSantis has done and is doing, while the Trumpers slander everyone and call their "enemies" childish names.

They deserve to lose, and they will lose. It's inevitable.

Either the GOP nominates Governor DeSantis, or Trump loses worse in 2024 to the democrats than he did in 2020.

The only question will be which pitiful excuses are going to be rolled out by the Trump team after he loses.

DeSantis has been MASTERFUL this past week- while Trump rage posts on "Truth Social" like a crazy person.
