Will Rudy bring down Trump now?

Trump stiffed his alleged co-conspirators, whose false claims brought in $250 million
PUBLISHED TUE, AUG 15 20235:10 PM Brian Schwartz

Several of former President Donald Trump's allies, including Rudy Giuliani, who are now facing criminal charges for helping him try to overturn the results of the 2020 election were never paid by the Trump political operation for work they did in late 2020.

The failure to pay Giuliani and his team came up last week in a private interview between special counsel Jack Smith's team and Bernard Kerik, a Giuliani associate, according to an attorney for Kerik.

Trump and his allies raised $250 million off false claims that were peddled nationwide by people including Giuliani and Kerik, the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot said.

That money is now helping Trump pay a small army of lawyers defending him against criminal charges.

Several of the attorneys who spearheaded President Donald Trump's frenzied effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election tried, and failed, to collect payment for the work they did for Trump's political operation, according to testimony to congressional investigators and Federal Election Commission records.

This is despite the fact that their lawsuits and false claims of election interference helped the Trump campaign and allied committees raise $250 million in the weeks following the November vote, the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot said in its final report.

Among them was Trump's closest ally, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Trump and Giuliani had a handshake agreement that Giuliani and his team would get paid by the Trump political operation for their post-election work, according to Timothy Parlatore, an attorney for longtime Giuliani ally Bernard Kerik.

But the Trump campaign and its affiliated committees ultimately did not honor that pledge, according to campaign finance records. The records show that Giuliani's companies were only reimbursed for travel and not the $20,000 a day he requested to be paid.

Parlatore also told CNBC that the Giuliani operation was never compensated for its work. According to Parlatore, the failure to pay Giuliani and his team came up last week in a private interview between prosecutors on special counsel Jack Smith's team and Kerik, a member of Giuliani's team in late 2020.

"Lawyers and law firms that didn't do s--- were paid lots of money and the people that worked their ass off, got nothing," Kerik complained in a 2021 tweet.

And this is why Trump won't win the general and MAGA knows it, which is why they are already saying the Democrats will win no matter who the GOP runs. Can't have any blame fall on the god king.

New Associated Press poll finds 64% of Americans say they won't vote for Trump in 2024. If we want to see the Republican party fall victim to a historic slaughter, having Trump as the Republican nominee is the way to do it.

The only way Trump is the nominee and he doesn't lose big is if somehow he can convince a WHOLE LOT of people not to vote. The problem is the only people he seems to be convincing not to vote are Republicans.

There's daily posts on this board of an impending second Civil War, especially if the Dems have another four years in control. A good number of those posters are diehard Trump supporters.

The irony is that, on the small chance that happens, those same posters won't see the part they played in making it a reality by voting for a candidate who's so dislikeable he has no chance in winning the General election and will just use his loss as an opportunity to cry about cheating and clamor for a revolution.

2020 must be a blanked from memories of folk honestly believe that all he's needs is maga. Hell, he's going to have significantly less Republicans going to vote for him that did vote for him last time. They're not voting for Biden, but they're not pulling the lever for him either. Fatigue of him seems to be the main reason. And that's being said by people that say all the indictments are purely political.

It pisses me off because so many of the ones screaming for revolution if Trump doesn't make it are too old to suffer the consequences. How many of MY kids are they willing to sacrifice on the alter of their revenge... There is a way to fix our country without putting our undying allegiance in a shady NY businessman who is a poor leader, but because of some sunk cost fallacy we have to double, triple, quadruple down on failure.

That won't happen because of ballot harvesting by the Dems, most of their votes are essentially banked. There will never be another low turnout election for the major ones, or at least low turnout from the Dems. It's a matter of whether or not the GOP can maximize their votes as well and who can win over the Indys.

Here is the problem with polling in a nutshell. Another funny one is the poll showing Trump at 60% Nationally and Vivek beating DeSantis had less than 300 people surveyed in a National poll. I don't question that Trump is ahead but the level of manipulation of numbers is just off the charts. Huge breaks between phone and online and text as well and many include Democrats. It's very hard to know what is real and what isn't right now.

And all Trump/MAGA can come back with are lies, lies, and more lies.

Good lord, those two ads about Trump not debating are brutal and brilliant. That's exactly what Desantis and his PACs need to do. Attack Trump full force for being the p***y that he's being by not attending the debates. Either force Trump into the debates or force him to make up another p***y excuse for skipping them.

And then continue the attack ads on every issue possible besides just the debates. There's so many weaknesses that Trump can be legitimately attacked on. There's a lot of people who believe the indictments are political but are just flat out tired of Trump. Attack him on legit conservative battlefronts (and there are a LOT of issues to do that on) and you push those people into finally abandoning him.

Screw Vivek and the other pansies who are playing nice with Trump and are scared to anger the MAGA crowd. That is exactly how Trump wants it to be played, needs, it to be played in the Primary....like he's some untouchable mafia Don who holds ultimate power..

Lots of "DeSantis needs to drop out, it's over!" from Trumpworld today. Trump himself, Lake, most of his Influencers. They are trying to push some of these new polls with terrible crosstabs and sketchy methods that are skewing the averages. For instance this is one of the more "credible" polls:

All in response to the AP poll show Trump is going to lose by double digits to any Democrat.

Trump has been spending a lot of money buying polls, which are usually so obviously rigged to get the paid for result.

MAGA Mentality: Poll only true if it is good for Trump, no matter how bad the internals looks. All other polls are biased against Trump.

Perfect example on Cult45 Central.

It's not just Trump, Vivek is spending big on polls and the Dems are as well. Some of the big polls are from Hillary's pollster, Daily Kos, and others who are funding them and showing these big gaps that don't seem to make sense. The wild ones are showing Vivek in the high teens in one and under 5 in others. The consistent thing is that all of those groups have a vested interest in DeSantis underperforming. When you use them for the averages they also look daunting.

I still think Trump has a good lead but it's crap like this that really is hard to ignore, especially with Trump, Lake, and most of his influencers on another big push with "It's over! DeSantis needs to drop out so we can support Trump!" rant. It makes me all the more determined that DeSantis just needs to stay the course.

It's not new; they've been using it since before he announced.

Basically, they do not believe anyone has the right to challenge Trump for the nomination. It is OWED to him because of 2020 and he deserves it for "revenge."

They also believe that DeSantis owes Trump a fealty debt for life for endorsing him in 2018 so he is a traitor for going against Trump.

MAGA is a cult of personality and for them, it is all Trump, only Trump, and forever Trump. This is why when he loses the general election, assuming he is the nominee, they've already declared it would be because of fraud. They'll whine for 2 years and prepare for Trump 2028.

Some of these polls were also done right after the third indictment, which we all know helps Trump because he loves to play the victim and lots of people feel sympathy for him

I suspect we'll soon have polls with him at 80% and only Vivek higher than 5%. They're push polling hard to try to set the narrative that Trump is inevitable and everyone should drop out, and give him their money for the gen... so he can keep paying his legal bills.

That's all they know how to do. They're also doing this to "stick it to" the GOP or RNC, or basically all non maga conservatives.

Trump needs constant attention like humans need oxygen. Doing it this way will give him maximum attention.

But after a debate with nothing but adults, the contrast to Trump will stick out yugely, and not in the way he'd want.

Every non maga that voted against him last time will be reminded why they voted for a Dem probably for the first time ever.

The less he's at the debates the more it'll remind non sycophants just how much they don't want him anymore. Doing that will go to help him either not do as well as he should in the primaries or lose it once the rest fall off to make sure it's just him and one other candidate.

If it's just him and one other person, he loses, yugely.
