Tough general election reality in these numbers for GOP to consider.

35%+ gap in Trump fav between primary and general electorate.
64%(!!) say they definitely or probably would not support Trump in Nov ‘24. 53 definite. https://t.co/bkaSxbiEhM
HA! As we all know, believing any poll not paid for by the Trump campaign just proves you have TDS.Aggie Apotheosis said:
New Associated Press poll finds 64% of Americans say they won't vote for Trump in 2024. If we want to see the Republican party fall victim to a historic slaughter, having Trump as the Republican nominee is the way to do it.
Results of AP poll
36% is enough to win the general because all I need is MAGA. /TrumpOld May Banker said:

But "the proven warrior is owed this" and "DeSantis should've waited..." history books will not be kind to conservatives if we miss this opportunity.

That won't happen because of ballot harvesting by the Dems, most of their votes are essentially banked. There will never be another low turnout election for the major ones, or at least low turnout from the Dems. It's a matter of whether or not the GOP can maximize their votes as well and who can win over the Indys.Phatbob said:
The only way Trump is the nominee and he doesn't lose big is if somehow he can convince a WHOLE LOT of people not to vote. The problem is the only people he seems to be convincing not to vote are Republicans.
DeSantis: Trump won’t attend the debate, because he wants to avoid tough questions about "his unfulfilled promises from when he ran in 2016.”

Polled “likely R Primary voters”
Emerson NH Poll: Trump 49, Christie 9, DeSantis 8
Polled “registered voters," including Dems who can’t vote in R primary, but excluding independents who can?
AG NH Poll: Trump PAC poll?
Comments?
Republicans need a nominee with stamina. A nominee who's sharp.

For this poll’s Biden +1 vs. Trump topline result to be correct, you have to believe Biden is just +12 with non-whites.
Per Pew, Biden won non-whites by about 50 in 2020.
A near 40-point shift in 4 years among minorities strains credulity. https://t.co/isXElM7PCz pic.twitter.com/l2flHKy3gH
It's not just Trump, Vivek is spending big on polls and the Dems are as well. Some of the big polls are from Hillary's pollster, Daily Kos, and others who are funding them and showing these big gaps that don't seem to make sense. The wild ones are showing Vivek in the high teens in one and under 5 in others. The consistent thing is that all of those groups have a vested interest in DeSantis underperforming. When you use them for the averages they also look daunting.Rapier108 said:
All in response to the AP poll show Trump is going to lose by double digits to any Democrat.
Trump has been spending a lot of money buying polls, which are usually so obviously rigged to get the paid for result.
It's not new; they've been using it since before he announced.Counterpoint said:
What's with the dumb "DeSantis should have waited" talking point that all of Maga seems to be pushing lately?

Trump needs constant attention like humans need oxygen. Doing it this way will give him maximum attention.
