DaTechGuy blog comes out endorsing DeSantis:

  • He was one of the first governors to push back at the foolish COVID rules
  • He has fought the good fight on school reform and education reform
  • He has fought back on the culture wars protecting children
  • He has fought back against Woke corporations like Disney one of the most influential donors in the state when everyone (including Trump) advised against it AND WON!
  • He has fought back on illegal immigration and exposed the left's false compassion with things like the plane to Martha's Vineyard and the various Bus Trips.
  • He has fought back against every media narrative that has been used against him.
  • He has refused to be intimidated by anyone
  • Despite incredible pushback he pushed forward voting reforms that made many of the tactics that the left has used to steal elections, tactics that were once common in parts of Florida, practically obsolete.
  • And just this week he replaced a Soros DA who refused to enforce the law

If you want to win the election- vote DeSantis

Trump adviser groped 2 women in 2021 at Scottsdale club, one tells police
Ryan Randazzo Arizona Republic

A woman says Boris Epshteyn, a special adviser to Donald Trump, repeatedly groped her and her sister inside a Scottsdale nightclub in 2021, according to police body camera footage obtained by The Arizona Republic.

Epshteyn, who had worked with Arizona politicians to overturn Trump's 2020 election loss, was accused of sexually assaulting the women at the Bottled Blonde nightclub early in the morning of Oct. 10, 2021.

"All night he's been touching me and my sister, especially my sister. He kind of cornered her and grabbed her and is just making her super uncomfortable," a 27-year-old woman told police in the body camera footage.

The Arizona Republic is not identifying the women, one of whom described Epshteyn's actions as "molesting" them inside the club.

"Touching her chest, touching her hips, touching her crotch," the woman told police just before police ordered Epshteyn, wearing shorts, sandals and a collared shirt, to sit on a nearby curb that was strewn with chewing gum and cigarette butts.

Epshteyn was charged with "assault touching," "attempted sexual abuse," "harassment-repeated acts" and "disorderly conduct-disruptive behavior or fighting."

The first three charges were dismissed, but Epshteyn pleaded guilty in Scottsdale City Court to disorderly conduct and served probation.

The conviction was set aside by the court in January 2023.

So in other words, you WANT to lose in 2024.

2022 showed that running on the 2020 election is a losing propitiation. Candidates across the country who ran in 2020 and nothing else got their asses kicked.

But in the Trumper mindset, running on 2020 is "winning" even though the election results will not bear that out.

Oh yeah, you'll just blame it on cheating and not on Trump or his candidates because the god king can never be wrong.

trumpster logic.

we want to win in 2024 so we can expose 2020, without first having fixed the issues from 2020 that will again lead to another defeat, preventing us from exposing 2020.

Problem is Trump had his chance to do that and he failed. So just because it was unfair or wrong the voting public sees Trump as having lost and Biden having won in 2020. They agree that the media was unfair. They agree Biden lied about the laptop. They agree that ballot harvesting and other shady stuff was wrong. Unfortunately Trump jumped in with saying that ballots were created out of nowhere but couldn't prove it outside of circumstantial evidence and he lost. Jan 6 certainly didn't help him either even if it was a setup, he stepped right on that rake like so many others.

If you think there is any way that people are going to vote in 2024 for Trump because he should have won in 2020 you are truly in an echo chamber. People have real problems to worry about and if you think Trump getting screwed in the last election is high on their list you aren't paying attention.

So if you want to scream at the sky and see the Democrats win huge please keep it up, they thank you.

That is not true. He ddn't fail, he was censored and otherwise blocked from presenting cases. Mostly he was blocked by his own AG, Bill Barr, who issued stand down orders for FBI investigations into election fraud.

He was actively blcked by Raffenperger and the state courts in GA, in violation of the rules governing expedited hearings in election contests. Judge refused to imely set the hearing as required. When the judge finally relented and set the hearing, it was set for January 7, 2021, which would be too late. Further, Raffensperger was dragging his feet refusing to allow any discovery until the judge ordered it BUT offered to provide the information sought IF Trump would dismiss his lawsuit..Caught between the time crunch and the judge's inexplicable order, Trump's attorneys advised that dropping the suit would be worth it if they could get the dicovery and then file another suit before the inaguration based on that info.

Of course, Raffensperger reneged on his promise and still has to this day.

Exactly. Heck Trump isn't even trying to fight cheating. He collected $250MM from a bunch of easily duped followers and then apparently basically hasn't done Jack **** with it. He needs to win the nomination so he can lose, blame cheating, and continue the grift. Amazing that there are people who still don't see this.

I didn't say he was treated fairly I said he failed. He did not win his Court cases. That's just the reality. I also have zero sympathy for him with Barr because that was his own AG appointment that of course was a disaster (though not as bad as Wray).

He needed to be smart and focused and have really good arguments and attorneys and instead he went with "The Kraken" and threw everything against the wall. Missed a ton of deadlines on the cases he had the best chance at as well. He was and is a disorganized mess.

No one said it would be easy but Trump blew this as much as anything. Like I said this isn't about fairness it's about results and he failed.

You know when you're over the target, and as usual Desantis is right over the target.

But this is nothing new. Desantis has been catching heat from the Dems for years now. Let's see if he gets tripped up by that mean ol' Swamp who apparently can thwart any Republican political effort. I know that's the chorus repeated when certain Republican "leaders" don't follow through on promises.

But just maybe this time the Republican under scrutiny will triumph because rather than bluster he actually has all his legal ducks in a row and isn't afraid to stand his ground.

It's nice hearing someone sound like they want to actually get elected to make the country better and not just to get pay back for losing.

No one has to say Trump's name in these situations. Everyone knows he's who they're talking about.

Anyone with a scintilla of cognizance about politics realizes Trump is doing EVERYTHING he can to become the nominee- rather than the actual President. And now we know why:

Spiraling Legal Bills Threaten Trump With a Cash Crunch
August 11, 2023 in News

Donald J. Trump's legal problems aren't just piling up his legal bills are, too.

New financial reports show that the former president's various political committees and the super PAC backing him have used roughly 30 cents of every dollar spent so far this year on legal-related costs. The total amounts to more than $27 million in legal fees and other investigation-related bills in the first six months of 2023, according to a New York Times analysis of federal records.

That $27 million in legal costs includes Mr. Trump paying at least eight law firms more than $1 million each in the first half of 2023, part of a sizable set of legal billings expected to spiral upward in the coming months as his overlapping criminal cases wind their way toward courtrooms in New York, Florida and Washington, D.C.

The new disclosures revealed the remarkable degree to which Mr. Trump's political and legal cash are intermingled, much like his own political and legal fate.

Mr. Trump's complex political orbit is already spending more than it is taking in, and tapping into money it raised years ago an unusual trajectory this far out from an election. And the burn rate raises questions about whether such an approach is untenable, or whether Mr. Trump will eventually need to dip into his own fortune to pay for his lawyers, his 2024 campaign or both.

It is a step that the famously tightfisted Mr. Trump has resisted taking, even as his advisers have begun planning behind the scenes for a potential political cash crunch months before the primaries begin.

Mr. Trump is not known for long-term planning, so it remains unclear how much he has focused on the intricate challenges of financing his campaign in the coming months. Some close to him say they are reassured by the fact that if he becomes the presidential nominee again, he can rely on the Republican Party to provide financial support.

Choice A: 78 year old, twice impeached, 60% disapproval with the American public, defeated time after time by the Deep State, his own appointees wrote books about how awful he is, blowhard, not a conservative who insults more Republicans than democrats, married three times, no large donors, and his wife is never seen with him, indicted four times.

Choice B: 46 years old, turned a battleground state deep red, beat Charlie Crist by 20 points, leads the nation in delivering conservative victories and policies.

only a group of literal ideological fixated near cultists would go with Choice A over Choice B to be the nominee.

also, I would think the fact HE ADMITTED GUILT IN COURT may have had something to do with the fact that something happened.
