Sorry, but I disagree with everything about the above post. For starters, you state Desantis' cold personality is part of the turnoff but then state it won't matter what the personality of the candidate is because this will be a purely ideological election.
No election, none ever, has been entirely ideological. And an election in 2024, where the majority of voters get their opinions from social media snippets, will absolutely hinge in part on candidate personality.
But I understand that Trump fans (not calling you one) desperately hope, nay, desperately
have to believe the election will be an ideological one. Because deep down they know Trump's extremely disagreeable personality made the 2020 election close enough for Dem interference in select locations to swing the outcome. Trump fans know he turns off a majority of voters. So they have to believe that voters will ignore Trump's obnoxious personality and vote solely based on their hate for Biden's administration and policies.
That won't happen. Too many people vote on emotion. And Trump stirs up more hate than Biden does. Don't believe me? Go look at the Gen Election polls showing Biden beating Trump.
