Trump is just getting so disgusting now. Oh, so the entire wall was going to be done in 3 weeks and "they just stopped building it because they want open borders". How can anyone take him seriously?

Then on the CCP quote he literally says after lying about DeSantis "siding with the Chinese", "Does that sound good?" He is just making crap up on the fly.
He's always done that. It's funny that conservatives are just now seeing it. You can literally watch the debates against Hillary and see the very same game. But it worked for him then. And that says as much about voters as it does about Trump.
Trump didn't have to lie about Hillary, if anything he underestimated just how evil and corrupt she was.

Riddle me this. Each of these 2 candidates is an important close supporter of the 2 major candidates and if elected it is very possible they will either serve in the Admin or they will definitely be an important advisor.

Anyone who talks about how DeSantis is a Globalist/RINO really should read this. Then read it again. And again. And again.

Lindsey wants a war with Russia so bad.

He's already on record saying that if Ukraine is defeated, the US and NATO will have to invade to free them.

Gee, I wonder why Trump has such a large group of people that refuse to vote for him? Why, oh why, can't they see that obviously the best president ever simply HAS to lie to beat a challenger... in his own primary. They must be thin skinned over "mean tweets".

Can I see some of the usual suspects come defend this? I'd call them out by name if I wouldn't get banned for it. You tell us how this is perfectly okay with you. This is example 437 of Trump the a-hole that doesn't care abut the truth, just about himself. Do it, dammit! Defend him and convince us that this man is who we need to stand up against Biden.

Then tell me how we all need to go knocking on doors telling people don't fall for the lies of Biden and his ilk, believe Trumps lies instead! That's bound to bring in all the votes he needs.

But you guys are probably right, it's the ones who refuse to vote for Trump that are the problem.

Wasn't it Trump who hosted Xi and his family for dinner at his home (Mar A Lago). He, and his daughter, also made a lot of money by doing business with Chinese companies.

Yet Desantis is the one who sided with the communists in China? I don't know if this falls under "oh the irony" or "pot calling kettle black", but maybe someone needs to remind Trump and his maga about Trump and his family's ties to communist China.

It won't matter to the loyal Trumpist.

He's gonna be the GOP candidate. Biden might debate him once, but I doubt it. And Biden will win with the exact same strategy as last time.

We are so fooked…and when Trump, Jr. takes the stage to replace his Dad as the new Carnival Barker for 2028, we will get the same crap then. Hello, President Newsom, who then gets to hammer the nails in on America's coffin for good in 2029.

Trumpers trying to flood the zone with fake polls now.

Iowa poll by Trump friendly pollster sampled 51% of those age 65 +.

in 2016 that same age group only voted 26% of the caucus.

Trump is spending a large amount $$$ on buying favorable polls, which most news outlets, even though who are right leaning, ignore because they're crap.

They have to go to sites like Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, The Last Refuge, The National File, and The National Pulse to see them being reported since those sites are the media arm of Cult45.

Capturing the suburban women's vote, if possible, is absolutely HUGE. And Casey DeSantis seems way at home in soliciting for it.
TRM

Steve Deace wrote about that this morning.
Quote:

Time for the adults to have a talk.

Mid-March was when reports of a looming Trump indictment in Manhattan began to percolate heavily. On March 12th, Trump was at his lowest in the RCP national primary polling average. Over the next 118 days Trump rose a massive 10 points in that same polling average.

So what changed?

Have Trump's favorables demonstrably improved? No, he's still a collective minus-16 according to 538's average. Is Trump crushing DeSantis in fundraising? No, as we just saw this week. So what changed? What calculus was added to the metric to ascend Trump's numbers, when no other metric indicates such dominance?

There's only thing: Trump was indicted not once, but twice, on complete and obvious partisan persecutions during this time. There is no other option.

DeSantis' favorables among Republicans are still very high, so if it primarily was Ron's fault, his favorables among the primary electorate would've suffered accordingly. People don't sour on a campaign without souring also on its candidate. And Republicans still really like DeSantis.

Effectively, Democrat lawfare is behaving as a de facto Trump Super PAC. Republicans are rightfully rallying to a past champion, who is obviously being unfairly persecuted for being their past champion. I understand this inclination. And I have said all along that I have no problem with Trump running on "I shall return" MacArthur-like retribution. I like that chip on the shoulder, if it is harnessed properly.

However, the Democrat lawfare isn't going to stop. And Republican voters probably aren't going to realize on their own they are being lured into a Little Big Horn ambush by the Democrats.

"Yes, by all means, rally to your champion," Democrats are saying. "We want you to nominate him, in fact we're actively encouraging it and are publicly enabling it. We look forward to running against a convicted felon that 48% of Americans have proven -- the last four elections in a row -- they don't want any part of what he's a part of."

For now we are being afforded the luxury of rallying to a candidate most of us know cannot win a general election. But there will come a time when time is up. When we will be stuck with a weakened proxy who is struggling to stay out of prison, raise money, retain/recruit credible and effective staff, and doesn't even seem to be trying to rehabilitate his image to reach suburban voters we must have to win a must-win election.

And make no mistake, 2024 is a must-win election. I cannot even imagine how much more evil will be unleashed if we don't, not to mention Trump likely spends the rest of his natural life incarcerated.

For the adults (non-grifters, non-cultists, critical thinkers, people who care more about their kids/grandkids than any politician, etc.) there are two options:

1) Trump must have a strategy to run on our behalf as likely a convicted felon, beyond grainy chit-lib type videos over at Truth Social with increasingly lame taunts, which is most of his current strategy. That ain't winning Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Pennsylvania, etc. And we might be picking out our plots at the gulag soon after 2024 if we don't win at least some of those. Trump will be wearing an ankle bracelet at his posh resort if he loses, we'll be trying to stop them from descending from castrating our kids to flat-out euthanizing them.

2) DeSantis' central campaign message perhaps becomes what Casey launched this week. Run a parallel primary campaign to Trump that goes after suburban voters who both will be attracted by that message, but also aren't zealously loyal to Trump. Don't even bother competing for voters who would gladly follow Trump off a cliff with their whole families, just to prove some point that won't make nearly the difference winning would. Those same suburban voters are also more likely to be receptive to the reality of the difficulties of nominating Trump, and plain talk where that is concerned. Get on the national stage as often as you can, with or without Trump.

The next election is more than just win or go home. It's win or don't be so sure you'll even have a home to go home to.

Has to be all about him instead of the veterans.

Quote:

However, the former president failed to come through and Ernst's fundraiser for veterans was stuck with a needless expense.

According to the Times, "His campaign had expressed interest in sending videotaped remarks, and Ms. Ernst's operation then rented large screens for the purpose of showing them, but he never sent a video leaving Ms. Ernst's team without a recording, and the cost of the equipment to cover, according to five people briefed on the incident."

Add to that, a simple request for an autographed motorcycle helmet to be used as a fundraising tool was also botched.

"Ms. Ernst's team had planned on using the chance to win a motorcycle helmet signed by all of the Republican candidates as a lure to sell tickets to the 'Roast and Ride.' They sent the helmet to Mr. Trump, who returned it later than expected and had added the numbers '45' and '47,' signaling he would be the 47th president, the role everyone else is also running for, according to two people with knowledge of the episode," the Times reported before dryly adding, "They never used the helmet."

One of Team Trump's main strategies seems to be telling outright lies faster than people can refute them. Trump also seems to believe that his own supporters are so dumb and enamored with him that they either won't care or won't check.

This is what is wrong with America. Pathetic view on marriage and the roles of a stay at home wife. What greater legacy to leave than raising children that go on and do their own things? What's her legacy? Twitter posts? A legislative issue no one will remember? A promotion that is lost when she quits?

If I were DeSantis... I'd continue exactly as he is for another few months. Then start attacking him personally - doesn't know a single Bible verse, has been married multiple times due to philandering, pays off porn stars, has filed multiple bankruptcies, etc etc etc... Trump wants to go low, go lower. But today isn't the time... keep hammering policy for now.
