I'm curious what the Commonwealth's Attorney's statement means but it sounds like trouble for the officer who killed the attacker.

Grab a police officers gun, wrestle with him in his vehicle, cause the vehicle to move in reverse uncontrollably endangering pedestrians & motorists, and you're gonna have a bad time.

Whoever the guy was that got shot was doing everything short of verbally asking for it, and no rational human being would think otherwise.

ETA: when they pulled him out he probably still had the officers gun, and even if he didn't you still mag dump into his chest just in case - otherwise you may not make it home to your family.

The police officer was yelling "he's got my gun..." it doesn't really matter at that point if he successfully de armed the officer, it's game over.

I can't believe the police would just randomly kill a beloved high school valedictorian and/or future astrophysicist.

Regardless of the DA being a dirtbag, regardless of the assaulter being a dirtbag, regardless of the assaulter attacking the first officer, what matters here is if the second officer had an articulable reason to believe the assaulter was still a deadly force threat.

If the assaulter was no longer a threat, you can't shoot him, even if he was hitler.

We can't tell from this video and we don't have the evidence at this point.
