I heard a great summation yesterday. If a man who thinks he's a woman wants to be called "Susan", that's fine. A name is arbitrary. But if he insists that you call him "she" or "ma'am", etc, that requires you to participate in the delusion by threat of societal consequences or, in some countries, prosecution.
This is nothing more than a power play for the people who always felt like outcasts or mentally ill people who want to exert that bit of power over others. Their feelings are given consideration over your freedom to express your beliefs freely.
If a man, Bob, says he also identifies as Aidan , you'd send him for a psych eval.
If a man Bob, says he also identifies as Barbara, you have to celebrate Barbara and put him on a beer can.
