The covid response outlined here was the biggest failure in leadership of all time.

Senior leaders at every level quickly succumbed to mass hysteria and infected their subordinates. At no time did common sense, reason or independent thought prevail. The absolute nonsense described in this address went on unchecked for more than two years. Dissenters were ridiculed and silenced by any means necessary. Most people were coerced to participate in lock step on this massive failure at every level.

Looking back a few years later, its really unbelievable what happened here. People that prided themselves as leaders, weren't leaders at all. It got to be nut-cuttin' time and they got exposed.

The leadership involved in this will say, 'but we were following the recommended guidelines, ... 'we were relying on the experts.' Yeah. So what? Part of being a leader is having the ability to think independently and think for yourself.

The covid response was such a massive failure that everyone involved is hoping that people just move on and forget about it.

Yes. that is absolutely true. Just thinking about that makes me ill. My son is in the corps and class of 24. That was fish year. It wasn't the same but the corps got to operate that year and in our case, the fish classes bonded even stronger. Their classes were online so they would all spend the day together on their computers. Nothing else was going on so they were together all day, every day. What man meant for evil, God meant for good, I guess.

Driving YESTERDAY from Plano to Frisco on Coit, a woman in the car next to me had a mask AND a face shield on while driving and appeared alone. Yes, a face shield. I now honestly think a lot of these people are suffering from some level of mental illness. Seriously. At this point, if you are holding on to masking and covering yourself that much, there is more going on than just virtue signaling or trying to protect others with your mask. We see it in the schools here and a lot of kids in SPED or under the 504 umbrella wear masks. And they are not "at risk" kids nor really around any at risk kiddos. Almost all of the regular school kids do not wear any masks. Some, but not many. And we have a ton of Asian and S. Asian students where masking was followed before Covid by many in those countries. When the powers that be decided to go the masking route, unfortunately they opened a can of worms that will take a few generations to remove, I fear. And still, not one real, scientific controlled study has been done to see if any type of masking actually worked. My guess is, in real world, non-surgical nonsterile settings, they do not do much good at all. Even N95s. Never again....
