Figured it would be easier just to put them in one spot as they come. DeSantis has been laying the ground work for this Leg session for a long time and is showing what you can do if you turn a Purple State Red and what he would like to do for the country. He's already had a very busy Leg session but a bunch are coming through at the end. This could get lengthy as he likes to win, a lot.

How anyone can look at that list of accomplishments and listen to the Governor answer those questions and not think he should be the Republican nominee is beyond me. He takes questions that are intended to be difficult or gotchas and answers them articulately with logic and rationality without missing a beat. He is more adept with a hostile press than any Republican in the past 35 years.

I like Trump and appreciate what he did and what he has endured for the country, but DeSantis is head and shoulders above him as a candidate, a policymaker, and face of the Party.

If Trump supporters really want what is best for the country as they claim and DeSantis wins the nomination, there is no rational, reasonable reason to sit the next election out or vote for someone else. The Democrats are the enemy and DeSantis will eat them alive if he gets a chance.

And that makes the way he is handling the press and positioning himself all the more impressive.

He will make a formal announcement when the time is right for him.

He would be an awesome President, probably the best since Reagan (or Clinton at the very least).

Too bad the Dems control the Elections the way they do. It just keeps us with terrible leftist leaders.

I have to give them credit-the Dems and ChiComs came up with the perfect plan to defeat Trump and to keep power for years to come. Probably a lot like Russians felt when the Bolsheviks took over. And when Mao led the Red China Revolution. Commies know how to get power…and how to keep it.

The time must not be right to talk about him getting the nomination then. Respect his wishes.

He's made it pretty clear he is announcing but thanks for the distraction.

What are your thoughts about the Legislation he has passed?

It can be overcome but it takes organization and someone that can win over Independents. It's not easy but it can be done and if you think that Trump ran this amazing and perfect campaign in '20 and the only possible way he could have lost is because of illegal cheating (I'm not talking about ballot harvesting, a dishonest media, etc) then the least you could do is not try to make it harder for people still fighting by being defeatist.

It won't be easy but this thing is winnable.

I really hope so. America needs a strong leader in the worst way in these crazy and uncertain times. I liked Trump a lot but DeSantis has so much more potential.

at this point it's pretty clear that the Always Trumpers have no interest in the GOP winning

they are simply in it about their feelings for revenge, or wanting to stick it to the media one last time.

we will finally be able to determine if there are more low information voters/dummies or more rational logical thinkers in the GOP over the next 9 months.

Longer broadcast: https://twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1nAKEryZQblGL
Shorter link:

This is significant because the states now decide on fishing seasons. As he mentions in the clip he had been getting complaints from fisherman in FL that there were far more Snapper than the Feds were reporting so he had his own studies done and discovered that the fisherman were right and thus he has gradually been extending the season each year. He also wanted to make sure it included Fathers Day and 4th of July because those are family weekends and he appreciates the cultural importance of fishing in FL.

He also began the statement reiterating how FL has blown away the rest of the country in terms of migration of capital with over $24 Billion last year and over $38 Billion in 2021, Texas is second with less than half that amount and the Blue States are losing money at an astounding rate.

While DeSantis is best known by many for his social stances he is absolutely a strong advocate of fiscal conservatism and growing encouraging business growth. He also is very much an environmental steward and has put a lot of money into the Everglades especially by aggressively going after invasive species. His version of environmentalism though is more similar to hunting and fishing organizations that are focused on preserving wildlife but also encouraging people to enjoy the outdoors and sporting responsibly instead of just screaming "Climate Change!" and coming up with policies that are less about the environment and more about socialism.

BTW, here is his statement on this again today. He's making it blindingly obvious he is waiting for the Leg session to end. As a bonus he talked about Line Item Veto and how he vetoed Billions of dollars in spending last year and how he won't hesitate to use that power for unnecessary spending. Line Item Veto is desperately needed at the Federal Level, it's one way how we can destroy these Omnibus Bills.

FL will always have issues with hurricanes driving up costs. Happened after Andrew. Happened again the year they had 3 hurricanes in 1 year. This one is compounded because you have a massive influx of population and more importantly money coming in. High net worth individuals and companies are coming their in droves from Blue states. Supply and demand can't be stopped as a force and the cost of Mother Nature flattening a city as large as Fort Myers is going to affect rates.

FWIW, they did pass some insurance regulations last year but it is very hard to solve that fundamental problem outside of government just writing massive checks with taxpayer money. Inevitably if you want to live on the FL Coast you are going to pay a premium.
