I have to admit, I thought you were being facetious when you first mentioned having dinner with him. Thanks for sharing.

In regards to some other comments about why it's so hard to get a conservative message like his front and center, I think this is a prime example. I'll have admit I had never heard of Rep Hunt before. A man like him with a story like his should be being broadcast as a shining example of the American dream. But instead, our news and social media platforms place a former barista, hand picked by a radical socialist organization, who hates this country as the example we should all be modeling. Truly sad.

So proud of Wes...went to West Point and flight school with him. What's interesting is our class also has produced two other Congressmen, a Democrat in NY and John James in MI (also GOP and a former Army aviator). Wes is by far the most likable and I doubt anyone in our class has anything negative to say about him personally (beyond policy). Not the case for John James.

You should be sorry, because even taking the time to edit your OP you still couldn't be bothered to summarize. That's pathetic. You're asking people to take an unknown number of minutes to watch a video but you were too lazy to spend 30 seconds writing a couple of sentences to let us know the topic and duration of the video. Somehow, several posters came to your defense and claimed I was "lazy". Some of us work in offices and don't want to have audio that our co-workers or clients may hear, especially if it's some political rant.

Regarding the video, I'll provide my summary that you were too lazy or simply unable to provide, It was ok I suppose. Lecturing an ATF bureaucrat about America's cultural decline over the last 25 years and slipping in a brag about knowing the lyrics to Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" didn't seem like the epic beatdown you thought it was. He didn't ask a single question. Just opined about cultural rot while complimenting himself for going to West Point, saying his prayers at dinner time and of course, knowing the lyrics to "God Bless the USA". Overall it was meh.

He's not onboard with the handling of Ukraine. We sent billions to fight a war on Europe's doorstep without an ounce of negotiation. Europe hasn't dropped a dime and we keep sending truckloads of cash. Also talked about how poorly the US aid was handled and there has been no accounting of how our money has been used.

He said he wasn't against helping but we shouldn't be shouldering all the cost.

We didn't get into the reasons behind Russia's invasion. Only how we've responded poorly.

Let's take some of this passion and cure a disease or something, mmmkay? Jeez.

He seems to think so. I caught his interview with Don Jr. While he doesn't come out and preach 'election fraud' with a red fist like Trump/Lake, I like his sarcastic "Uh yeah that wasn't normal" approach to 2020. He doesn't try to play dumb as if 2020 was perfectly normal like some Republicans, but he doesn't get preachy. There comes a point where R's can't keep campaigning on fraud like Trump...but I also hope they don't forget about it and are working behind the scenes to ensure that we fight the cheating.

Honestly, given Crenshaw's endorsement of him when he ran the first time around...I was hesitant on Hunt. But it looks like he's decisively taken his own path and isn't following Crenshaw...which I'm hopeful for. He's the perfect fit for that district. And I admire his passion.

I also never thought I'd hear Tomball, Texas mentioned in an interview with a Trump. That's pretty cool. I hope he has a long career, we need more leaders like him.

Agree, but in a sleezier way whereas Wes is 100% genuine and is the same guy since I first met him at age 18. To be fair I know Wes better, but have donated to both and would vote for either. However, I'm just conveying our class consensus which faults James for kowtowing to Trump. I'm pretty sure Wes Hunt got his endorsement too.

I should feel sorry for what exactly? It's not a bother for me to summarize something. Rather, it's a matter of principle that I refuse to spoon feed someone cliff notes on every video I post. What I am bothered about is your sense of entitlement that a summary should have provided. Hence, my edit and response.

The fact of the matter is that individuals that aren't intellectually curious are just as likely to type a snarky "TLDR" as to type "TLDW". If your curious about a video, click it. If you lack the curiosity or technology to do so, don't. It's not complicated and nobody around here owes you anything. Feel free to have the last word. I find it boring feeding the trolls.

Wesley Hunt gave an honest, articulate, and accurate speech. This is the type of leader our country needs.

"You should be sorry" was an obvious reply to your "sorry, not sorry" comment. It's basic posting etiquette to provide a sentence or two summary for something you want people to spend several minutes consuming. The "spoon feeding" comment is pathetic as well. A lot of us are working while on F16 so audio can be a problem.
