He is paying $20k per month in support. Thinks it should be less
Is this the back payments when he was "employed" by the Ukrainian corporation Burisma Holdings? Not sure how they can determine his income moving forward once his demented father is no longer President and destroying the country. His art work sales will drop significantly, just like donations to the Clinton Foundation tanked. That's why the judge apparently said the payments could be adjusted.

Sounds like Hunter and his attorneys had a bad day yesterday.

Having been toyed with enough, Circuit Court Judge Holly Meyer told Biden fils and his estranged paramour that they must attend all future court proceedings in person. Of more immediate consequence, Biden has been ordered to disclose the financial records that have been requested by May 12.
Quote:

That could be interesting. At the last hearing, one of Hunter's lawyers, Brent Langdon, asked Judge Meyer to preclude an expert witness whom Roberts plans to call about financial evidence gleaned from Hunter's infamous laptop. As we've previously noted, Team Biden has been incoherently sly about the laptop, simultaneously claiming that (a) it might not be his but (b) his privacy has been unlawfully invaded by the publication of its contents.

Not surprisingly, then, Langdon slipped into passive-voice mode, telling the judge, "There has never been an acknowledgement" from his client that the laptop is his.

"Well," Judge Meyer replied, "let's clear that issue up right now. Is it your client's laptop or not?"

As we approach three years since the laptop's emergence, Biden's lawyer stammered, "I am not in a position to even begin to answer that question." Eventually, flummoxed counsel settled on, "It's not my client's laptop as far as I know. He's never accepted that that's his laptop."

Hmmm . . . May 12 ought to be a hoot.
LOL.

That POS lawyer Langdon knows damn well it is Hunter's laptop. Subpoena that lawyer communications for the last couple of years. Guaranteed Hunter has told him it is his laptop.
I think Hunter is a complete POS and shoud fry in hell, but I am 100% against the bolded part of your statement. It would completely destroy the fabric of our legal system with attorney/client privilege.
I admit I am not a lawyer, but lying to a judge should carry some penalties.
The attorney didn't lie. Look at the way he phrased his response to the judge.

What is the reason for it though? You can't just willy-nilly ask for a special master to review attorney client information just becuase you think there is something there. You say there is no way Hunter hasn't told him, fine, where is the evidence of this outside of it is your belief.

In Arkansas, child support is calculated using a statewide formula that takes into account each parent's income and the amount of time each parent spends with the child (known as the "parenting time percentage"). The formula also takes into account any special needs or expenses the child may have.
To calculate child support in Arkansas, you will need to know the following information:
  • Each parent's gross income (income before taxes and other deductions)
  • The parenting time percentage for each parent (the amount of time each parent spends with the child)
  • Any special needs or expenses the child may have

That's only one of the criteria, if it applies at all, in determining child support.

That's only one of the criteria, if it applies at all, in determining child support.
On April 2, 2020, the Arkansas Supreme Court issues their opinion titled In Re Implementation of the Revised Administrative Order No. 10. The new order shifts away from basing all child support obligations solely on the non-custodial parent's income and instead is based on an "income-sharing" model.
In this model, the income from both parents of the child or children are taken into account. First, the court must determine how much of your combined income the child or children need to meet basic costs of living. Let's look at this a little closer. Say, you make $4,000 gross a month and your ex-spouse makes $2000 gross a month. The two of you have a combined gross income of $6,000. Next, you will look at the new 2020 Child Support Chart to find how much has been determined to be the child support obligation for each child. You can find the chart HERE.

So, let's say that you and your ex only have one child together with a combined income of $6,000 a month. Per the chart, the child will need $815.00 per month to meet their basic needs. Your child support obligation will be based on your percentage of the $6000 monthly income you contribute. So, if you make up $4000 of the total $6000, then you are responsible for 66.66% of the $815.00 which would be $543.28 per month. The non-custodial parent makes a cash contribution to the custodial parent child support and the custodial parent pays her or his percentage directly toward the children's needs.

That's about the equivalent of one of hunters better paintings that took him about 30 minutes then sold to an anonymous buyer - meaning 750k to him is nothing.

child support is calculated on pretty straightforward legal formulas.

Hunter is trying the classic "hide the income" scam to plead poverty. This isn't some new-fangled divorce strategy. Problem is that if he wants to win on his plea of poverty, he has to present evidence of his poverty - which he is resisting.

Sort of a basic concept of justice at play here. If you make an allegation and then completely refuse to hand over evidence supporting the allegation, you're not entitled to relief.

Fine print in the guidelines.

Quote:

The Administrative Office of the Courts has provided this calculator to assist with the process of calculating Arkansas child support orders under the Arkansas Child Support Guidelines (effective July 1, 2020). The calculator will estimate the amount of child support that may be ordered in your case and generate the Child Support Worksheet that can be saved as a PDF and/or printed upon completion.

The judge in your case has the final authority to determine the amount of child support ordered. This calculator only provides an estimate and is not a guarantee of the amount of child support that will be ordered. Many factors may affect the amount of child support awarded.

If you have any questions about the child support guidelines, you should review Administrative Order 10 and/or talk with an attorney.

A children's psychiatric specialist is probably very expensive. Having your father and his whole family deny your existence can be very harmful to one's emotional well-being.

I feel bad for the child. His father doesn't recognize the child even exists. His father's family is mostly, if not entirely, composed of unethical, corrupt and dishonorable people that most likely should be in jail. Hopefully this will get out of the news media at some point allowing the child to have a somewhat normal life.

The judge intends to ask Biden about the laptop. So this brings up a few things.

  • He admits on the record it is his and the can of worms that follows should have him arrested in court.
  • He lies and then he is committing perjury. Should be arrested right away
  • He pleads the 5th or refuses to answer and is in contempt of court. Should be put in jail.

This is what should happen, but it won't.

What other fun stuff might Hunter in court today yield? Can LEOs in AR arrest Hunter for his lying to obtain a firearm? Is there something else that he could be arrested for in AR and Sanders sends some troopers to get him leaving the court?
He will plead ... "My daddy is the freakin' President"
