Anyone else been banned from Facebook for having the wrong political views?

My account had been restricted off and on multiple times since before the 2020 election. It escalated after January 6 and they finally put the nail in the coffin this month.
I know multiple people that have recently been banned/restricted. One of them was from a silly political meme that was posted over a YEAR ago.

MUTE THE VOICE, WIN THE PEOPLE…


There's no love lost losing the account. Everyone's lives would be better without Facebook no doubt. It's the censorship of a select group of people that's more the concern.

The closer we get to this upcoming election the worse it will be

Perhaps people should check out mastadon.

Mastadon is a distributed social nework that is not owned by any one person or group. It would be awfully hard to ban anyone for anything on Mastadon.

I stopped using Facebook in 2015…

What's to miss? Looking through photos of past friends and acquaintances…? Bragging about your life? A terrible and creepy use of time.l and insecure. Comparison is the thief of joy.

I have a business account that I rarely touch anymore. I never got banned but I found out that FB was censoring my posts and not notifying me in any way they were doing so. Photos/video of 100% legal activities without anything at all that went against the rules. I could see them from my end but my customers (or anyone else for that matter) couldn't.

I was on a post on FB back in about 2020 that was discussing Swallwell (traitor who likes to bang Chinese spies) and his idiotic comment about nuking legal gun owners.

I responded with a GIF like this one:

No. I have not. Because I don't post crap like that. Facebook should be treated like any other public place. STFU, keep your opinions and views to yourself, and talk about the weather or cats.

I honestly can't fathom why people feel the need to troll Facebook for likes,clicks, and confrontation.

90% of what people post on it are things they would never say in public. Why? Because they would get throat punched for being a D-bag. I guess the draw is you can be a chicken **** on Facebook but not in public?

There is absolutely no shortage of conservatives on Facebook.

If you're getting banned for "being a conservative" on Facebook, you're far more likely just an ass, and people don't want to say it to your face in person......you know........because you're an ass.

FB Purity plugin works well. I have unfollowed everyone that posts that kind of garbage. I mostly keep it for birthday reminders.

Most of what shows up is very close friends, snake pics, and cruise ship info.

I have a facebook account for only one reason -- to be able to check the specials at the restaurants in the area.

As such, nobody needs to know who I am so I used a fake name that is rather unusual. Only my sister knows my facebook name.
