You can have extreme left vs. right on the same show as long as they are both intelligent. The token lib on The Five is typically someone who is pretty smart (except when Geraldo is subbing in).

Lemon isn't smart enough. Jen Psaki, even though she's as far left as it gets, is at least intelligent. She could pair up with Carlson and that would make for some incredible banter. Lemon would not.
