Two democrat POC's at my office believe they are doing Christian duty as per the Bible sending money to Ukraine, help the poor people in need cuz of war. This all just proves exactly what I have been saying monies going to fund mercenaries and zelensky's purse and execs. I cannot believe how dumb these people are.

All that money going to Ukraine and illegal immigrants could be used to refund social security and medicare!

Pretty convenient distraction from the recent trans school shooters....

And if you Google Jack Teixeira every headline is "Who is Jack Teixeira?" Or "What we know about Jack T!!"

Where was this 2 weeks ago when a trans was shooting Christian kids? Did we ever get that manifesto?

Yes. Both of those idiots are clowns.

This kid is an idiot. Destroyed his life at 21 years old. Wanted a career in the military or any sort of law enforcement? Any of those sort of dreams are gone. We will see how much prison time he gets, but at least a few years is coming. Any of ya'll who were business owners trust hiring somebody who pulled the that sort of stunt over other qualified candidates? Kind of a big black mark on the ole resume. 'Leaked' classified documents and then spent a few years in prison. Nice. I doubt if we catch up with him a decade from now that he will be telling folks 'no regrets!'

I was remarking to my spouse that this thing is going left-right real quick. And, the way these people talk to each other is like nothing I've ever seen in public discourse.

That Greene woman who advocates the U.S. being divided up into separate 'Blue' and 'Red' state countries, this 21 year old gamer geek is a 'hero', etc.

She one of those 'Shock Jock' politicians who tweets out and says that sort of stuff because it is her calling card to try to stand out from hundreds of other congressmen…

Or is she actually a nut who truly believes all the stuff that comes out of her mouth.

Excellent point, I understand why he had such a high clearance but how is he accessing CIA type information without a polygraph? Junior enlisted IT persons at Guard Bases should not be accessing such information unless things have changed drastically in the last 10 years.
This is my question as well. Even with clearance, as an IT tech, he still shouldn't have had access to these specific documents because there was no need to know.

This kid is being put out there so we all argue about how much of a traitor he is or isn't - and we don't ask the questions of how he came into possession of the documents in the first place.... And who is responsible for THAT.

He's not the only low ranking enlisted person with access to documents like this. There are thousands across active and reserve.

He's not remotely near the villain the left is trying to frame him as.

But he's damn sure not a "hero"

People sure throw around that word loosely these days.

Maybe he's a traitor, maybe he's a hero.

I'll wait for someone a little more credible than Randy Quaid. Like the Tooth Fairy.

Maybe MTG wants to create the debate on if Texeria is a hero or villain.

What is a more interesting topic the minutia of the details released or debating if someone is a hero or traitor. The latter. So turning it into a hero vs traitor you keep the story longer in the spotlight. That gives more people the opportunity to learn about it and explore the information themselves.

For proof look at the responses on this thread. Now look at debate over the actual details released.

What is a no striper "E1" in the guard doing with that type of data?

Yeah, 'traitor' is taking a bit far IMO unless more facts come out that he was deliberately doing this to hurt his country (his literal employer)

For all we know he did this to impress his 'gamer' friends, maybe even a girl. Who knows. 21 year olds do dumb stuff all the time, like a college football player driving around at 2 am with weed and guns in his car. 21 year old males don't in particular think through the possible bad outcomes of their decision making.

For now, I'd go with he is simply an 'idiot' who is going to pay a steep personal price for an idiotic thing he did. And if more facts later come out to justify an upgrade to 'traitor' then okay.

Certainly plenty discussion about why/how he had access and what changes need to be made with regards to that. Just maybe not on TexAgs or MTG's Twitter.

Lots of public unknowns here as to how this happened. It's not publicly known to what extent this kid was affirmatively given access to the information vs a mistake by someone vs the loser doing something more nefarious vs some mix of the three

But the kid is an idiot and a loser. It wouldn't ever cross the mind 99.999% of intelligence staffers to do anything like this. No matter how old they are. But the IC is going to have spend even more resources to account for losers like this dude

Our military is huge and there are literally thousands of young enlisted people with access to all sorts of classified data.

This didn't seem to be 'Bin Laden Raid Planning' top-secret level information only discussed in sound proof rooms to an highly select set of people. Was classified info not intended for public consumption but widely distributed in DoD.

Unfortunately for this idiot, when this happens not only have to review processes but you have to hammer him HARD. Make an example out of anyone who knowingly violates their signed statement to not share such information.
