I think Tucker went way overboard on this one, as did MTG. You don't elevate this kid or make him seem like a victim. As has been said repeatedly, he's no whistle blower.

If Tucker is going to say we have US troops on the ground that are actively fighting Russians, he had better be able to back that up. I have no doubt we may have some trainers there, but saying they are shooting Russians and that we are actively at war with a nuclear power requires a higher level of proof.

Finally, one of his talking points is that we're being told that Russia will definitely lose this war. He threw in a few MSM clips to that effect, but almost everything I've seen suggests that this is still Russia war to lose.

When the government lies in order to trick the American people into supporting things that may not be in their interest it is absolutely imperative that someone with that knowledge expose it.

That is one of the reasons we have freedom of the press. And why it is enshrined in the constitution.

Now that the press has been compromised by the deep state it is more imperative than ever that whistle-blowers come forward and give the public real information.

It still surprises me that so many "conservatives are 100% okay with the government THEY distrust getting away with lies and want to prosecute people who expose those lies.

This leak exposed us (The US assets) performing training Ukraine soldiers and partaking in small arms fire against Russians in Eastern Ukraine IIRC.

For your second point, we are being told Russia is losing. This leak suggests our intelligence says that the casualties for Ukraine have been worse.

I had a TS/SCI SSBI for years. I got in trouble for saying a single word (out of context actually) in an open meeting and some ***** thinking he was doing his duty marched down to security. I soon had a conversation with some security manager...good dude. Funny thing it is was my client in the conversation where I spoke the forbidden word and when security asked the client about the meeting, he recommended that the the whining little turd who came running to security should lose his clearance for being a moron. I still was put on some paperwork list that says that if I did that again a dozen or more times, I should have some refresher training. That turd left soon after the incident and pissed off others in a new job.

That person reminds me of this idiot. He will spend many many years in jail and at some point realize what a complete fool he was.

Just cannot get over that a 21 yr old gamer had a clearance like that. Where was his poly?

His boss should be fired along with the IT dude who didn't lock down everyone's computer so data could be copied.

Anyone with a security clearance to have access to this information knows damn well where they're going if they leak it. And they're smart enough to know to get the hell out of dodge. This stinks to high heaven.

My litmus test on released information: does it potentially change public opinion/policy on an important topic? If so - then at least the gist should be known by the public which makes the secret keepers the treasonous individual moreso than the whistleblower.

My perspective of treason is that it's measured off of the constitution - not the institution.

Excellent point, I understand why he had such a high clearance but how is he accessing CIA type information without a polygraph? Junior enlisted IT persons at Guard Bases should not be accessing such information unless things have changed drastically in the last 10 years.

I would say your friends are probably sorta right, he should not have had access to this sort of information, but this is the Air Guard so it will be interesting to see the amount of spillage, moving items out of compartmentlization for ease of access (maybe from SIPR drive to unclass drives etc) or leave SIPR tokens around with them PIN on a sticky there is going on at this unit, heads should roll
