The alerts go out every time they fire a missile toward Japan. So far they either fall short, or overfly and land somewhere downrange of Japan.

Sounds like it already landed outside Japan's EEZ

ETA - something splashed down but it is possible it was a stage and the missile is still flying.

Last month, there was one that flew for about an hour. This one has been up for 45 mins (if it hasn't fallen yet)

Per the NHK World Japan stream, there is no longer a chance it will land on Hokkaido...all the alerts on the screen are gone now.
