Not defending their actions, but I wonder what legal jeopardy they could face. They certainly couldn't expected to tell genuine classified info from random internet BS, especially teenagers. Now if they had gone to the Russian embassy to try to sell it, that would be different. Probably wouldn't matter if the info was genuine classified or not.
