Many of the never trump supporters that helped win the primary for Desantis really don't want a conservative. They just wanted Trump out.

They don't follow through in the general and work to undermine things.

The dems will def have to run someone better than poopy pants to beat DeSantis. If it's Michael obama or Newsome I could easily see this being a toss up (sadly). Michael would get all the lefty's jazzed so him running worries me the most.

Not so much anymore. It has a lot of independents and is showing some preliminary signs of trending more conservative now though those conservatives don't call themselves republicans.

It's very very hard for a Republican president to win since they are way behind from the start. CA, NY, IL, are all large states that are in the bag for team blue and there's nothing that's going to change that. FL for now is solid red. Texas leans red but it's really a battleground state that is going more blue as the metro areas gain population. There are enough Democrats and RINOs in key swing states to hide the cheat (AZ, PA, MI, WI, GA). The Dems can run a tomato to replace the potato and will still be extremely hard to beat.
