Is all this mess just a long-term real estate deal?

A theory from my father-in-law…

Major cities are being intentionally turned to crap. Between allowing the homeless explosion, defunding police and all the other crap, property values are going to free fall. Then someone like Blackrock can buy everything on the cheap.

Eventually, once they own enough, they come in with private security and clear out the riff-raff.

Now, it's back to a place people want to live. They then make a massive profit.

Thoughts?

A solid theory, but I think it is more than just that. I think they are moving middle class workers out of blue states by cost of living and trying to turn the red states for total control. Couple that with induced crime due to the defund and planted DAs.

They know the average to lower income people will demand that same welfare wherever they end up. There is a reason Texas, Florida, and Tennessee are the end destinations. There is a reason the big companies are moving here, and leaving offices in their original states (most of them at least.)

If you can take over and then introduce leftists at the local and state political level, they can redistrict and take over totally.

I think it is their way to take the entire country.

It's not a great plan, NYC, SF are all running into massive issues with reduction of tax revenue. Which is going to seriously reduce maintenance on infrastructure which will have decade long impacts.

Cleaning up riff raff is a very small part of urban rot. Water, waste water, public transportation is all degrading quickly. It'll be hard to lure people back when the needed tax burden to repair and upgrade is outstanding.

I think that there is a little more to the story. If the Leadership Class knows that sooner or later that the U.S. Economy is going to collapse under +$31T (and growing) in Debt and the dollar will be next to worthless a lot of people and businesses will be looking for something that will hold some value. Real Estate is always the answer in that situation.

Driving the price down of prime real estate before the massive buying begins would make a lot of sense. Then once the wealthy have sufficiently shielded their assets in cheap real estate the rug is pulled out from underneath the country and the economy falls into the pit. Then after a decade or so of recovery the Rich would find themselves even richer than they were before the collapse.

S-Hole cities are created by many factors - all of which could be eliminated if the useful idiots didn't for for the people that cause S-Hole cities - they deserve it

Why? Have you seen this theory talked about on Fox News?

Or you just another "hurdur Fox News" Democrat who thinks Fox News is the only source of thought for anyone on this board besides your incredibly enlightened individualistic self?

And the theory is straight out of Robocop.

I do see allot of open door listings selling below market value for a big loss after they were purchased high in 2022.

Their listing agents have repeatedly told me they don't know why they're selling for less, but it seems odd. They represent a small but significant portion of total sales and it almost seems like they're trying to influence a downward trend in sales prices. No idea what's up though.

You seem to know what is on Fox news. Do you actually watch it?

Probably about the amount of CNN and MSNBC you take in. Then I bet you listen to NPR once in your car. Just a guess.

Not for long. I bet it peaked 6 months ago, unless you have a new and major employment center going up near by.

They can just use cash handouts to lure them to some ranch or park area and quietly funnel in a ton of fentanyl and kill off the undesirables when they want to reclaim it.

Then it's just a drug epidemic and they invade Mexico blaming the cartels and make a fortune in defense contracts.
