Right. Does that mean someone can't resemble him?

I think it was the 'apparent gay person' comment that was being questioned, and appropriately so.
Prince was not gay.
Justin Guarini (American Idol S1) is not gay. Happily married to a woman, in fact.
If the actor, character and alleged inspiration for the character are all straight ... how/where was it 'gay'?

Being married to a woman doesn't mean you're not a homosexual.
Did you watch the Freddie Mercury biopic?

I've gotten in trouble before by saying drag queens were trans. Have the rules changed?
(Who are we kidding? There ARE no rules.)

Drag is a made up idea of the 20th century. All this pearl clutching over what men wear and what is "masculine" is absurd. Men have worn make-up, wigs, dresses, skirts, etc since forever. Some random culture decided that is what girls are supposed to wear and hence the pearl clutching of today.
Drag as it is known today is 90%+ gay and straight men. A trans person would not consider themselves to be in drag, they would consider themselves to be dressed as the woman they believe themselves to be.
