Before everyone thanks Tucker and Kevin McCarthy, there are a couple facts you guys need to understand:

1) Jacob Chansley was going to be released anyway. Prosecutors started the process in January, before McCarthy even theorized giving the Jan 6 footage to Tucker
2) After Chuck Schumer and other Democrats threatened Rupert Murdoch and Fox on the Wednesday after Tucker aired part 1 of his multi part investigation into the Jan 6 footage, you guys do realize Tucker hasn't shown a single minute of footage after the threat, right? He's talked about it, but no aired footage.

You guys need to understand that Fox, including both Tucker and Hannity, are ultimately controlled opposition. Hannity is fully bought and paid for, and only cares about his popularity versus what's good for America. Tucker has stronger America First ideals, but he did in fact bend the knee for the money in this instance. I just want to make sure you guys know this.

Could it have simply been a determination that none of the remaining footage was relevant?

I don't buy it. I doubt the accuracy of the opinion, and the validity of the story...based on everything I've seen since 2020.

Even if true who cares? Still straight ticketing R's regardless of who they are, untill something changes.

Tucker promoted that they had "at least" two days worth of stories and videos to show in their investigation. Day 2 had a story and no video.

I believe that fox caved in a heartbeat.

Tucker has openly stated that he has a personal policy agaisnt badmouthing his employer. So I find it likely that he is not happy about it, but you could say that he caved. Fox wont let him air it, and he wont do anything about it as long as he works for Fox.

I'm sure they have to stay within the bounds of their network to some degree. That being said....

1. The fact that Tucker released any of the footage let the cat out of the bag. Schumer can grandstand on the Senate floor all he wants, but Tucker accomplished his goal with the first release.

2. Hannity is anything but controlled opposition. People may not like his support of Trump or his style, but he criticizes Democrat policies non-stop...even more so on his radio show. The ones who spend more time criticizing Republicans are the controlled opposition, like Bill Kristol, not someone like Hannity.

I'm more concerned by a tyrannical government threatening a news organization than I am with that organization caving to the threats of a tyrannical government.

I don't see it as gatekeeping, rather just releasing the videos because the national narrative was "violent democracy-ending insurrection" rather than "LEO-aided tresspassing."

how is letting Carlson decide what to show or not to show letting him be anything but a gatekeeper?

it all should be made public.

Probably because he has the biggest audience in all of cable news and makes the left's heads all explode like no other and commands the most attention by far.

There are thousands of cameras and thousands of individuals involved, you have to focus on a select few instances to form a counter-narrative.

Maybe if all the news agencies were interested in exploring the videos it wouldn't just be one show that airs at 8pm doing all the work alone...

ALL media should be allowed access to all of it.

Why a single personality/outlet? If this was ONLY given to Jake Tapper, and we only saw a few snippets of video, we'd all be ticked off, or at the very least skeptical of what was presented.

It should be public. That way we dont have threads, accusing fox and Tucker of caving.

Thinking there is some smoke to Bonfire's claim. In retrospect, McCarthy would have been better off giving the footage to Glenn Beck to distribute. Blaze doesn't answer to anyone but Beck, and he'd have no qualms about running multiple stories, then releasing the whole thing.

The Blaze is a fraction of the exposure as FNC prime time lineup.

Plus you have the "fringe" dismissal of not being on a major network.

Tucker is not the issue. Neither is Beck, Tapper or Alex Jones, had they been chosen.

It's that they picked a single outlet to release it, instead of making it public to all (or at the very least, all media outlets).

If you want transparency, be transparent. Don't pick a winner, who gets to determine the narrative (for you). Allow us to see it and make up our own minds.
