Anyone not connected to the swamp and who lied like Fauci would already be deep in the bowels of the DC gulag, begging to speak to a lawyer.

Why he continues to go on talk shows I have no clue. Dude should have hired a lawyer 2 years ago and only spoke to the media through legally crafted modes of communication.

Just like James Comey - and his book tour - they know nothing is going to happen to them

OK so what on that list is a crime, and what statute would it fall under? And for that matter what power did he have to personally implement or enforce any of those things?
Lying about those under oath for one and then allowing GOF research which is banned?

ATT has been posting on Politics since this, but refuses to come back. Same ****, different day.

He should absolutely 1000% be prosecuted for using government funds to offshore (to China, no less) gain of function research in order to get around the law. And he should spend the remainder of his days locked up under the prison.

I tend to think he won't because what he did is merely symptomatic of a federal bureaucracy that has decided it is independent of and superior to the people of the United States and their elected representatives.

You could try the lying under oath bit, but more than likely most of his statements made under oath were couched in terms of being opinions qualified with "to the best of our knowledge right now" or similar.

The reality of the situation is that he only had as much power and authority as the presidents he served under (Trump and Biden) and the other politicians (mainly governors and mayors) gave him.

If you want to be mad at someone for all of that, you should be mad at the people that implemented it. Trump set him up as the "go to all knowing" guy. Governors, mayors and county judges put lockdowns and mask requirements in place. Putting it on Fauci alone is too simple and misses what governments in this country did during the pandemic to enhance their own power while reducing the liberties of all Americans.

The lesson isn't "one guy at the top sure can mess things up". It's "if you give the government an inch they will take a yard and keep coming back for more until you force them to stop, and they don't care what they have to do or how many of your rights and liberties they have to trample in order to get it".

So Trump's fault he trusted Fauci, designated for the past 20-30 years as the foremost expert on pandemics? I suppose Trump could have put Don Jr in charge and I am sure all would be happy.

Fauci lied and misled. He alone is responsible for that. Given his position and influence, he should be executed for his misdeeds. Nothing short of that could even be closely considered justice. Fauci also extremely violated his oath of office as a government employee and his oath as a doctor.

The man is evil. More so than Hitler. Thank God that like Hitler he produced no progeny.

On the comparison, I would be fine with him and his wife eating bullets whilst waiting for the calvary to arrive knowing their fate has been determined.
