The average American male waist line is 40.5 inches?! That's unbelievable. It's 4:30 in the morning and I'm up stressing over work so I can't even collect my thoughts on this, much less put into written words. I don't even know what to say.

But I will add that it's ironic that these video games promote a sedentary lifestyle. Maybe the developers should have realized who their target audience was. We are living wall-e

If the average waistline really is 40, I feel pretty damn good about my 34.

Agreed. A 40 inch waist isn't that crazy fat, but it's the larger ones that are making 40 average that's insane.

Good. There need to be incentives Iike this in our society. Apparently being fat = health problems and shorter lifespans does not get people's attention enough. Gotta start taking away fun things to get the job done.

This just confirms that Peach never wanted to be smashed by fat Mario… she was always looking at tall and in-shape Luigi.

There's a difference between fatphobic and not just not being fat-accommodating. I'd say this is the latter, the victim mentality of so many is just sickening. If 40" is too small then what's big enough? There's plenty of other rides they can use a person-sized shoe horn to squeeze you in, this isn't one of them. If you don't like it how about changing your life style and coming back in a year? Eating a reasonable diet and exercising regularly is a bridge too far for many people in this country. I was at Disney World last summer and the girth on display was next level. I was surprised more people didn't drop dead in the middle of the place.

The difference between "fatphobic" and not just not being "fat-accommodating" is that "fatphobia" isn't real.

I began to understand what happened regarding weight gain in the US after several years ago looking at pictures of Times Square in the early 20th century. There wasn't a fat person in any picture; hundreds of people.

The food, pharma, and medical industries are loving t$e weight problem in the U$.
...the Big 12 is now viewed as the fifth of the big BCS leagues by many recruits. (Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Mike Farrell; August 2013)

Already the weakest of the “Power Five” conferences, the league (Big 12) is hemorrhaging fans, wins, TV ratings and respect. (SA Express R. Bragg; Oct 12, 2016)

It's been normalized - Stacey Abrams is normal - the Gatorade commercials- Victoria Secret - Sports Illustrated.

To even be critical of being fat is the same as being a racist basically!

It's not healthy and it should not be celebrated! Being healthy should be a goal for everyone.

"If you size every seat for the largest possible person, you're guaranteeing that a smaller child cannot ride," Jim Shull, a theme park consultant and former Walt Disney Imagineer, told the Wall Street Journal.
I think this is the comeback for anyone that is complaining. Disney is a place for actual children, Not the ones that have spent decades with the complete lack of self control that many children have...

Create a problem, then profit from treating the symptoms (but not actually curing/fixing anything). That's how the gubmint and larger companies work.

And that is what most people scream for. You have to do SOMETHING! Even if its a completely ineffective or even harmful. That applies for government, doctors, etc.
