IMO, most of the leftists and many of the republican politicians have mental health issues. The most common is low self esteem (and compensating for it) or narcissism.

They derive their self worth from their position as a politician.

Leftists in general (non-politicians) seem to suffer from this. Low self esteem- become part of a group and a zealot for some perceived greater good ie. global warming, racial "equity," etc.

It's not finding joy in it, it is everyone saying he was mentally unfit for office when he was running. What is more disgusting is the left pushing a mentally unfit person to run, including his own wife that knew he wasn't mentally stable enough to hold office after his stroke.

I'd say this is a mischaracterization of the sentiment. People are angry at being disregarded when this obvious issue and concern was pointed out months ago, and are angry now at the hypocritical narratives that are being applied regarding capability to carry out an important and serious job. Nobody is happy that this guy is suffering, Many people are angry that this was all easily avoidable and that this man was seemingly selfishly exploited for political power, and that those who supported that arrangement have the gall to assert otherwise.
