Is Houston too high in the rankings? Yes. Has it gotten worse under decades of Democrat mayors and now Soros DAs? Absolutely. Is it the hellhole the OP made it out to be? Hardly.

OP has started a couple of threads banging on Houston. Not sure if he is trolling to stoke the ire of Houston area posters or just has a bug up his butt about Houston in particular. What has happened here is happening in every large city in America due to the Democrats war on law enforcement, not just specific to Houston.

I have lived in downtown Houston for 23 years. It was so quite on the weekends when I moved here. It has gone through ups and downs. Boom and busts. Since Covid several bars and restaurants on Main closed. Some are reopening. What I have noticed is an increase in homeless early in the morning. The security moves them on during the day. Downtown residents pay a downtown tax for this security.

Actually, I don't feel any less safe now than I ever have. There are neighborhoods in this city I will not go. Too dangerous.
