'We kindly ask that the town adopts the new housing element without the inclusion of 23 Oakwood,' they wrote. 'Should that not be sufficient for the state, we ask that the town commits to investing in considerably taller fencing and landscaping to block sight lines onto our family's property.'
From a quick search for the legislation:Quote:
Atherton's city council decided to develop the lot behind the Currys after facing pressure to comply with the state's affordable housing plan, which is developing 348 units in communities across different income levels over the next eight years.
Quote:
The California Comeback Plan included a $10.3 billion budget investment for affordable housing that will enable the creation of more than 40,000 new affordable homes for low-income Californians. These investments include $850 million for incentivizing infill development and smart growth, $800 million to preserve the state's affordable housing stock, $100 million to promote affordable homeownership and significant funding to scale up the state's efforts to create more Accessory Dwelling Units, build more housing on state-owned excess land, and investments in farmworker housing.

Are you trying to say Steph isn't a leftists?
As long as he uses the L/C emoji, he isn't making an inane obtuse comment

I know the NBA is like that which is one of the reasons I'm not interested in watching it. Just never heard anything about Steph's politics. Not surprising.Decay said:GE said:Oh I'm unaware of his politics just know he can shoot really wellAg_07 said:GE said:
I agree with Steph. Low income housing projects if necessary should go in low income housing areas
You're missing the point
It's not his viewpoint, but it's the hypocrisy that's the issue with this.
Oh, you're pretending to be oblivous that the NBA, nearly to a man, is incredibly outspoken when leftist causes are involved. And now you're pretending they're really just super niche opinions and you can't say what these guys believe? Gonna go with that?
It's not like him (and his wife) haven't been put on record over and over on this stuff. Yep, he's just so mysterious.
Neither will I, but the politics are fine I just think basketball is boringLake08 said:

No. Low income housing projects are only discussed on page 2 and beyond.Meat Nachos said:
Did anyone check with Lebron on this and get his opinion? Maybe he will tweet about it today!
Case and point: Northeastern blue cities and areas like Martha's Vineyard that want to lecture Texas about our views on the border...but are the first to squeal as soon as they're faced with the same migrant problem that Texas has been dealing with for decades.Maroon Dawn said:

As a strong conservative, I disagree with this. It creates all types of problems to segregate the rich and poor. In Houston, they tore down their centralized low income housing on Allen Parkway many years ago and rebuilt smaller housing projects throughout the city. Now the "have-nots" are going to good schools and the crime center that was Allen Parkway was decentralized. It has helped the racial and socioeconomic relations of Houston tremendously. We can win a World Series without burning our city.GE said:

Not really. if steph has that viewpoint it's because there is truth to it. He should be able to speak his mind no matter the issue.Ag_07 said:GE said:

Steph doesn't make a huge deal of affordable housing or homeless people anyway. Does anyone know that Curry is pro life? Does it even matter? No...of course not. Let him have his views. Stop pretending rich people can't have viewpoints. So ****ing dumb.
