Pretty fascinating when you think about it.
The progression of kamikaze drones has undoubtedly changed the Israelis strategy for conducting strikes deep within Iran. Gone are the days of worrying about losing numerous fighter pilots on potential suicide missions.
What a time to be alive.
Makes you wonder…how easy would it be for a major foreign adversary or terrorist group to deploy a drone from an incoming container ship at a major port, like NYC, carrying a briefcase bomb or IED and just flying and dropping a few blocks away? Is that super unrealistic to imagine?
Not unrealistic in the least.
The hardest part, which is still potentially achievable, is maintaining plausible deniability of the attacker. I'm sure the .gov nerds are capable of determining where explosives originated from, but we're living in completely uncharted waters.
The cartels have been putting drones to serious offensive use lately. Those groups are learning very, very quickly how to deploy that technology to great effect.
So are the Iranians.
So are the Chinese.
