Surprised it isn't because they think social media doesn't do enough to ban "anti-LGBTQABCDEFG" content.
Social media will be the demise of our civilization.
I pray this is the start to a successful lawsuit campaign.
Social media is awful for children as a babysitter, and information platform, and terribly uninformed group think.
Something in Seattle I can stand behind here, along with any ISDs that follow.

I wonder all the ways the Seattle school district is harming kids. I bet these guys live in glass houses.

As much as I agree, why should a school recieve any money. Maybe parents or the youth, but schools are not the victims.

Go ask your average adult who is on FB, Twitter, etc, and who will be honest, how often they are on those platforms? Do they get on them during the day time when they are supposed to be working? Do they get on in order to change the way they feel? Do any other areas of their life suffer as a result of prioritizing social media? I think you will find the number quite high and all are markers of addiction.

My son's mother is the epitome of "addicted" to social media.

Tobacco advertising, age gating for shows / movies / bars, lawn darts: there's tons of examples of courts finding companies liable for products which target and/or harm children.javajaws said:

What's most interesting is the depth of pockets and importance of this type of challenge. Very similar to tobacco companies who know they're designed to addict, that they can harm the user, and who have huge incentives to bury the harm.

Same, it's one of the reasons I told my ex it was time for her to go. I became a single parent, but it was like losing a 32 year old kid at the same time. Everything was easier without her.

100%? Government should do nearly nothing, but protecting kids from harmful material seems like something on the "do" list.

The law allows parents to provide alcohol and tobacco to their minor children because parents are in charge of their kids. Do you really want a government that can ban an app that can only be utilized by buying a private industry product and downloading said app? It takes a password to download apps to a devise unless the parent allows their child to have an independent account
