I have never seen a swastika tattoo in real life. At 11 PM at the Walmart in Texarkana, Arkansas, at the check out stood a Paul Bunyan size man and on his huge left calf was a huge Nazi swastika tattoo.
It was a fairly cool night and he had on shorts. I don't know if he got this tattoo a long time ago and has since had a change of heart. I have no clue, but OMG. I can only imagine the reaction he gets sometimes.
This guy was 6'5" and about 350 pounds.
I just wanted to put this out there because my mind has been blown. It was so large and fully showing. About 6" in diameter.

I'm guessing he wasn't Hindu…

OP would have been aghast to see book covers in the 60s.
Also in late 50s in the neighborhood- one day you had to be the Germans or Japs. Somebody had to be the enemy in our daily war games. Swastika was easy to draw.

To add to my above post: Back in late 50s and early 60s, the swastika was symbol of the bad guys. On TV, they were defeated every week Vic Morrow on combat and the guys on Rat Patrol were after Rommel in North Africa!
Everyone knew the swastika was bad guys and defeated bad guys! Losers!
But as mid sixties game and the anti - American grew amongst us, the swastika became a symbol of revolution, anarchy. Then, as we got more educated, and found out that Hitler didn't like black folks as well as Jews, it became a racist symbol. Then skinheads- a bunch of dorks looking for fame, took it up and used racism to get sttention. It lingered there, sort of a no no, until it became full symbol of black hatred, and hatred of Jews took a back seat(unless you were Jewish) unless something really big happened.
The real culprit in these kind of tattoos, BLM tattoos as well, is division of our country. Media fans this fire, and just like copycat school shooters some dork, even 6'5" guy who craves attention, gets a tattoo of swastika.

OP a lot of people these days will profile themselves as idiots all by themselves. I consider it a favor by them.

Spotting a Nazi tattoo giant wouldn't have surprised me there at all. That particular walmart can be kind of shady at 11am, much less approaching midnight. He was probably bored and looking to start some crap. Just glad that they started selling Yuengling in Texas so I don't have to make a special trip over there whenever I happen to be in the area.

Couldnt convince my wife that the head lice could wait until the morning. Head lice to her was symbol of white trash. So, losing the battle, I stumbled to Walmart after the mayonnaise treatment at 1:00 a.m. and shopped for the Rid-x. while dodging the white trash in the store. And to my dismay, they keep that stuff locked up-- so had to seek help to get it.. The black girl snickered as I bought it, and I know she was thinking, "Us black folks dont get this mess".

If your wife is elementary teacher and she needs explanation of why kids are sleeping in class-- take her to walmart at 10-11 at night. Kids are in there with their folks, and they are not looking for tylenol and going home, they are shopping!!

A guy working on the crew that remodeled my childhood home when I was ~9 had an SS death's head tattooed on his calf. I've been in to history since I can remember, so I knew what it was and because I was young, I had the gall to ask him about it. For me being 9, he was pretty open and honest about it being a bad time in his life with lots of bad decisions. Maybe the same story for this guy, maybe he'll be lighting the cross at the monthly rally. Who knows?

Harrison, AR was the home of the Klan for a long time.

Now what was surprising to me was the number of Confederate Battle Flags I saw when I drove through Ohio back in 2020 during the summer of Covid.

I was always told that it was only Southerners who were racist and supported the Confederacy.

One of my SIL is from far northern NY. Big time dairy farm country. She said that there are lots of rebel flags flown up that way too. That really surprised me.

Ohio doesn't surprise me. At all. Upstate NY? Yeah that threw me for a loop.

It amazes me how sheltered a life so many on here have lived.

You'll see lots of Confederate flags in Washington and Oregon outside of the cities.

In northern Georgia I've seen rebel flags hung next to upside down American flags but the Nazi flag takes the cake.

I drove from my home in Maryland to Hilton Head Island over Christmas break

not just one, but TWO massive Confederate battle flags were on the side of the highways enclosed by fencing and a memorial to the confederacy.

never seen this before where there are two seperate locations and I have been up and down I-95 for decades.
