An earthquake rattled parts of Northern California on Sunday for the second time in two weeks. The 5.4-magnitude quake was centered about 30 miles south of Eureka. On Dec. 20, a 6.4-magnitude earthquake also struck near Eureka.

Now one quake prediction research firm warned that the next big one could be imminent.

On Monday morning, Quake Predictions published a warning that read for the next two days -- there is a "dangerous situation" of the likelihood of a 7.0-magnitude "in the San Francisco Bay to NW of Los Angeles area."

Interesting warning. I didn't realize this kind of thing actually exists.

The big question is: would you dramatically change your daily routine if you saw the warning?

I can see preparing for a snow storm, hurricane or zombie apocalypse, but how do you prepare for a major earthquake???? Load the family in the hot air balloon?

Wear a helmet all day?

I haven't kept up with the "latest" in earthquake prediction.

I have been preparing for the big one my whole life by completely avoiding California.

Seems to be working, I am closing in on 5 decades of life. I'll take my chances with Florida man when I want to vacation domestically

This. Stay away from anything that could collapse on you. Bridges, overpasses, 2+ story buildings, etc.

At least until it either occurs or the forecasted danger recedes.

Getting an accurate two day window prediction right on a geologic timeline would be like winning the lottery.

I am guessing this warning will fail to materialize into a catastrophic event.

In looking briefly at the account are they basically predicting a major or earthquake every other day? Seems kind of like a scam/panic porn to me, although not sure why someone would do that.

I think they said if everyone gets their 5th booster and masks up, they can avoid a catastrophic earthquake.

How will "science" explain the link between climate change and devastating earthquakes because you know it's coming right after the big one takes out a good chunk of CA.

Well that about settles this thread.

This guy predicts a major 6.0 earthquake for SoCal every other week for at least the last 3 months. His youtube videos are just his "graphs" with dramatic music playing over it.

Hopefully we can get a new snake plissken movie once commiefornia breaks off. Can we crash bidens plane over there for an Escape from LA part 2?
