Baby brought home RSV last year and it kicked my ass straight for a week. Covid was nothing at all, but I could not believe how hard RSV hit me. Pediatrician made it sound like he's never seen it as bad as it's been the last two years. I think a ton of immune systems took a hit.

No matter your opinions on Covid and flu, the RSV infections are on the rise and causing problems in hospitals and other intensive care units for small children.
Thankfully, my little one's infection was relatively mild and we didn't need intensive care.

The bigger issue for me is people using the ER as their general practitioner. Do people use home remedies anymore? Whatever happened to teledoc services? Going to ER for an ugly sinus infection seems like overkill and users should be paying out of the nose for using such services.
Same, and she got it pretty young too. Prob helped that she had been exposed to all types of stuff as the last thing we wanted to do was over-sanitize or keep her sheltered and handicap development of her immune system.Predmid said:

I remember when people got sick and it wasn't a national emergency. I've got a little something working on me right now, but all the vaxxed that I know have gotten super sick this year. Now, I'll reserve judgment until I see how I fare, but I stand by my unsupported contention that the vax has wrecked immunity.

I had this in 2019 just before the Covid outbreak. It lasted a month. By far the most miserable UR infection I have had.

RSV in children is nothing to laugh at, it's been dangerous for a long time, and the l9ckdowns have made sure it re-emerged hard. I've had it twice now, it was as bad as covid, and lasted longer.
