They want you to think it has fallen. But inflation is up 14.38% since November of 2020.

The month to month number is 0.1%. Inflation clearly has slowed to a trickle.

YoY is hard to keep crazy high for over a year. The fact is hasn't crashed is a very bad thing

The housing market and auto market are about to get crushed. That'll help the number

Two things can be right.

Inflation compared to what it was at the beginning of 2021 is still astronomically high. Compared to December 2021 I think it's 7.1% higher? That's never going to change, we will never have negative inflation, so thanks Biden for cramming 20 years of inflation into 1+ years.

However the month to month inflation is 0.1, that is good news. If this continues the YOY inflation number is going to crash, especially in the middle of 2023.

So the inflation numbers will look better, and while it sure is better than prices continuing to skyrocket it doesn't take away from the situation we are going to live with where prices are exponentially higher than what they were two short years ago.

It's like when they wanted us to get excited that gas prices "fell" to under $3.00 a gallon.

The stock market is so disconnected from economic reality it is meaningless.

But go ahead and celebrate it as some great victory for Team Biden.

Dem's PR is like that of Jos A Bank of marketing.

Take something outrageously overpriced, put it on sale for 80% off, and claim a substantial savings.

Excellent news for USA. Been some tougher times for many over the last two years across the world. Getting inflation down and preventing true long-term pain is great for American consumers. Hope it continues!

This right here. I don't think most appreciate how bad and concerning it is to stack YoY like this. And with where interest rates have gone already + the market, scary as hell for it to maintain this high

He's done nothing... literally and actually nothing...that would be considered a positive for the economy.

And I call BS on this number. Just in the last month, I have seen tons of increases in day-to-day costs at stores I frequent.

Or like celebrating because an abuser only beats you twice a day instead of three times a day.

Democrats are masters at shifting the economic baseline towards the negative, barely meeting expectations, and then acting like they're geniuses.

Keep in mind: we were already well into this inflation cycle 12 months ago, so we are seeing a compounding effect of inflation on top of inflation in the 12 month measures.

The YoY number is still horrific but the month to month number has gotten better the last 3 months. About a 0.9% increase from August to November. That annualizes at 3.6%. Not great but hopefully a sign that inflation is slowing.

You'd expect that with the highest Fed rates in 10 years and a slowing economy. Don't give Biden any credit. He didn't do anything. But it is still a more encouraging CPI print than we got in the summer months.

Just like the issue during covid was the Fed overreacting, now its the same with the inflation. We don't want them overreacting the other way....because that will lead to a new round of QE increasing debt and bringing us closer to socialism.

It's good that it appears we have peaked.

Amazing what happens when you slow down government handouts...

What did you think would be the impact of sending every working age American $3200, (under Trump and Biden)?

Watch what UBI would do to inflation...
