Gov not interested because can't control. Unlimited cheap power can't control "energy efficiency" and types of appliances using it (gas, oil, solar, thermal, etc) so it ruins narratives and specific production markets.

This

It ruins wealth and control so politicians have no interest in it
How does it ruin wealth?

Hopefully, this helps.
Hate is how progressives sustain themselves. Without hate, introspection begins to slip into the progressive's consciousness, threatening the progressive with the truth: that their ideas and opinions are illogical, hypocritical, dangerous, and asinine.
This is backed by data.

Do you honestly think that the .gov wouldn't find a way to tax or control it? Really? That is what they do, and one of the few things they manage to be good at.

I mean, they F up everything else in the process, but they are damn good at application of taxes or implementation of controls and regs on anything and everything.

Ok you created more energy. Great 20%. Now go ahead and try to get that 20% to the consumer.

News flash it won't be near 20%.

Can we apply the carbon savings which this technology will create in future decades to energy production today? I'm thinking drill-baby-drill and 12 mpg sports cars for everyone, seeing as how we have now effectively solved global warming.
