I went scuba diving with the Merchant of Death in Thailand once. Different Merchant of Death, but whatevs. They were from the Congo and I asked them what they did. His wife just said, "we do various things" and changed the subject. I thought it was weird so I googled him and voila. He also was missing his ring finger which I thought was weird.

You know? I'm beginning to wonder about that as well. When this guy was active, he was stealing crap from the old Soviet Union former satellites and their Russian Federation stocks as well. Maybe even using their own planes to fly his stuff out.

After the debacle in Ukraine, he's a symbol of how the Russian military has been hollowed out but on paper still there. Not so much.
