Perfectly ok with that.

They should have something that looks more like a security guard uniform. This is asking for trouble or at the very minimum, a loss of business. If I was driving by and saw that, I would not stop because I can't tell if it is supposed to be a good guy or not. Cops wear uniforms for a reason.

ETA: I have zero problem with hiring heavily armed guards in high crime places.

I'm not interested I'm pulling up to figure out whether they're going to point a rifle at me and demand my wallet before I decide if they're friendly. Nothing about that person says "on my side".

They don't have to look like 100% police, but I at least hope the dude has signs up that there is armed security on the property

I'm more than ok with security guards that look like security guards with weapons. The mercenary look is a little too much.
