I think he's trying to explain that if you take almost any human being and pluck out specific aspects of them in isolation, you can find something arguably acceptable or even positive about even the most horrible terrible person.

Example: it's generally regarded as a positive thing to like dogs. Hitler liked dogs.

If someone was trying to make the argument that a terrible person isn't completely uniformly terrible in every respect, that could be made. If that is what Kanye is trying to argue, he lacks the tact to do it effectively and isn't clear on why that argument is relevant or significant in a bigger picture. It doesn't justify any series of terrible things to have an outlier that's neutral but irrelevant.

Jones, you can tell in watching, is the sane one in the room. He is constantly trying to redirect, reshape statements ect. He is walking this tight rope of not pissing Ye off and making him leave, but also not letting the anti-Semitism come out.

No, I was generalizing about people who might be attempting to argue a bad thing might have good or neutral elements as an intellectual exercise, as sometimes people who are making that argument get demonized for not taking the position that a thing is universally bad. I don't like when that happens. It's quite possible that's not what is happening here, but I'd like for that to be considered if it applies.
