If someone's shoplifting, which is usually a misdemeanor, but in this case, it's a felony because of their record, would someone who shoots them be granted immunity under your law?

Yes, I would lean towards protecting the shooter

Part of my coming to this way of thinking is that I think we have become too tolerant of criminals and waiting for the cops to sheild us.

People have been allowed to act a fool without immediate consequences for too long.

I'd rather him probably just get roughed up

I think part of the problem is reverse instant gratification, where the perpetrators dont fear any consequences because no one ever does anything. It's time the pendulum swings back the other way.

Thought fir sure this was going to be a constitutional carrier.

Nope.

A trained shooter.

Thought the law was on his side.

Us constitutional carriers know our guns are preserve life. The rest is up to the legal system.

If we was truly running away he may be SOL.

Since the shoplifter was getting a beatdown from the female clerks to the point of running off, losing all street cred in the process, maybe the CCW carrying customer that shot him was putting him out of his forthcoming misery via the ridicule from "the community".
