The most amazing thing to me is how they are willing to throw money away in pursuit of woke over and over again. The stories that don't feature woke storylines invariably are more popular and make more money. Daily Wire is having some success creating non woke content but I would expect there will be more and more of it or at least I hope so. Hollywood is leaving an awful lot on the table when it comes to ignoring content that people actually want to see. People just want a story that makes sense and doesn't have characters or plot lines forcibly introduced for woke points.

the movie was filmed just a few short years ago, before covid but then release was held up. if it were filmed now maverick would be flying a rainbow colored jet that fired unicorn dildos instead of missiles.

I try not to spend any money I don't have to with anything Hollywood.. get out and hunt or fish instead of watching that garbage and lining their pockets.

Doubt it matters to them... but it does to me. YMMV.

The woke-isms are all over. Some are more low key than others. Most 'families' on television now are either missing a father or are mixed-race families. There are tons of gay commercials. And then there's "Persephone Rose"... the dude that proclaims he's a woman on some commercial.

Most Americans do not agree with woke and will never do so.

Essentially the choices seems to be either Remakes and Sequels (Preferably Woke Remakes) or Woke crap or movies about their little Hollywood/NYC bubble that are way overdone. Just garbage.

Same here. Sick of all the heavily CGI'd super hero/ Star Wars crap..Seems like there is not many people in Hollywood anymore with any imagination to come up with new dramatic acting movies worth a crap...And, not many great actors/ actresses on the big screen either. So much better stuff on Cable/ Amazon, HBO originals, etc the past decade or more...

The RPA podcast has done a great job of laying out how Blackrock's algorithm destroyed Nextflix' midas touch by pushing projects that viewers don't want.
