What a shame to hear that!! F those people
Couldn't you have gleaned that from just looking at the results online? Am I missing something? Doesn't sound like this is some insider info from a donor.

Sure you could but hearing it 1st hand stings
lol that isn't firsthand, was this donor guy personally counting the votes or something?

This. Walker is among the worst senate candidates of this election cycle for either side. There was a large cohort of people who held their nose and voted for him because GA is a swing state and his election has huge implications on who controls. Now that voting bloc has less of a reason to turn out for him. Advantage Warnock.

More factors to consider: Kemp is not on the ballot this time, and he may have boosted Walker. Also Warnock still got more votes in the general. This is a tilt D race.

Vote as early as you can. I think they check the voter rolls to check who has voted. I was getting texts non-stop until I voted early. I don't think I got another text the last 10 days before election day.

The only silver lining to Walker losing is a complete rebuke of Trump in the midterm and this hopefully pushes DeSantis to being the nominee for 2024.

I can't vote for Warnock, so I either stay home or vote for HW. But he's a idiot. Probably vote for HW so Manchin can have the final say on anything crazy.
Or..you could do what smart people who know how party line voting works these days in that chamber and not give a **** about Herschel Walker being less than a genius. I swear, people like you and your stupid "character tests" in this day and age of politics are absolutely infuriating.
NPC just vote as the party directs you. No input whatsoever.

No thanks. It's because of people like me that we might get a DeSantis over Trump. If all of Trump's hand picked morons had won, he'd be all over the media and party leadership would have to go with him.

Or the opposite. It's already locked up for democrats so republicans won't care. It's still a valuable seat though because Manchin still has a vote and won't allow for all the democratic agenda. They likely want a little wiggle room.

Fyi, but all the chatter on Manchin, he still votes 100% democrat.

No.

Lower turnout, net, advantages whoever has the most total available voters; that would be Walker.

Walker won in the general, just not quite by enough (thanks to Cobb county/greater Atlanta of course, thanks again Georgiag) to avoid a runoff.

Their state houses are 34-22, and 103-77 in favor of the American side heading into the election and they basically held par. Kemp had 300K excess voters vs. the gap tooth wonder of election-deniers.

The Senate likely, now that the Democrats have the Senate locked up. the Democrats in Georgia will not be as motivated or energized for the runoff.

Haven't thought about this until it was being talked about on the radio.

But at the same time I can see this being not a good thing for Walker

Heh, true. It must have been a mind-f%#ck for many, dealing with two black, male, straight, nominally Christian nominees to choose from, so they couldn't just feel good about the comparative genitals/melatonin/bedroom practices of the 'concerned' moderate choice.

"Oh, well, their guy is even dumber than most /insert racist comments/."

You guys have not figured it out. By hook or by crook, the Dems will win Georgia Senate race. Look for another tight race but it will be days later before results become "official" and we know how that will turn out. I think people still need to vote but I don't have any faith in the integrity of the system. The Dems already have people filling out requests for mail in ballots for anybody that voted democrat in the last 25 years. The process is already underway. I don't like it one bit but the Dems just play the game better.

The chance of a Senate win was slim at best, the main goal was the House.

Yeah, I actually think this hurts Walker more than helps.

People would be more willing to hold their noses and vote for Walker if presented with the Senate majority hanging in the balance. When faced with an "existential threat," people are more willing to sacrifice their principles.

Walker did not win the general. If GA didn't have runoffs, Warnock would have been declared the winner.

Kemp got more votes, yes. Looks like there were a lot of split ticket votes this year in many states. But when you have a candidate who is not strong, like Walker, a favored governor candidate who is in your party can only help.

I dont know, though. I'm totally speculating. But it's pretty certain that the GA election is less of a big deal now that control is already decided.

Walker be a real guudt candidate. However, as Walker stated - "I ain't real smart.

I do understand that Ebonics does not mean a person is unintelligent. With Walker, I find it difficult not to take his word on not being really smart. He does not have much to say.

And although he is a bad candidate, he can still win anyway.

Just saying...

One of my good friends lives in Georgia. He said a bunch of Kemp supporters he knows thought Walker was too dumb to be a senator and they didn't vote for him. Also, he said racism played a part in the outcome because there is still a lot of racism in Georgia and those folks would have voted Kemp, but not Walker.

Go back and look at my predictions from a week ago I'm only wrong on the Pennsylvania and Arizona races
Let's see....

Quote:

I'll start with Texas and the 3 big ones:
Abbott
Paxton
Patrick and all win by 8 points or more

Arizona-
Kari Lake by alot
Blake Masters but barely, Kari gets Blake over the hump

Alaska-
Kelly Tshibaka

Colorado-
Benett

Florida-
DeSantis
Rubio

Georgia-
Kemp by a decent amount
Walker by 2

Michigan-
Whitmer ( but won't be surprised at all of Dixon wins)

Nevada-
Adam Laxalt

New Hampshire-
Hassan(Bolduc will come close like real close but will come just short)

New York-
Kathy Hocul by barely unfortunately, just too many democrats who know the truth but can't vote R

North Carolina-
Ted Budd

Ohio-
JD Vance

Oregon-
Kristine Drazan

Pennsylvania-
Doug Mastro
Mehmet Oz- close

Washington-
Patty Murray

Wisconsin-
Ron Johnson

Obviously I hope I'm wrong in all of these where the Democrat is chosen but even if all of this holds up like I have predicted we win back the Senate and the House and have a massive red wave coast to coast.

Looks like he went 14-8.

In the tossup elections, 4-6.

If the Republicans have the House, it blunts somewhat the damage that Dems can do anyway in the Senate. Do they want to expend political capital on removing the filibuster when they won't be able to get bills that they want to bypass it for to pass the House anyway?

I think the worst thing about a 51-49 D led senate is that they can get crazier leftist judges approved without any Republican crossover. Don't think Manchin or Sinema had any problems voting with the Dems for judge certifications.

But the country killing stuff like national voting laws, Supreme Court packing, PR and DC Statehood, etc that they could do if filibuster was eliminated requires the House I believe to be Dem also.

Its scary how close they are to cementing a permanent majority.

Anyone thinking Manchin will not fold once again, is delusional.

Dems no longer care about amorphous concerns such as political capital. The agenda is much more important than governing.
