Voting booths still looked like that when I was in elementary school. I can remember when they would bring them into the cafeteria and we go peek under the curtains before they started the voting.

Not to derail, but it depends on configuration...stored locally or aggregating log server, etc. We know these don't use logging servers, at least not that the documentation points out, so these are all housed locally. As for FIFO logic and size limits, this is nothing new or complex.

These machines and the code running on them have a difficult time fulfilling the single function they were designed for, so it isn't too much of a stretch to question how they manage/implement logging and auditing at a system level.
