This sounds like one of those Dateline stories where the spouse just happens to not be at home but the other one is when their house is burglarized for the 1st time ever and also assaulted. Usually it ends in murder though.

My daughter was severely injured by a drunk driver on parole. Every week on this forum you read of another felon who should be in jail who committed another crime.

It's sort of a refreshing change, to see a criminal hurt while on parole, as opposed to hurting others while on parole.
