Quote:

Bono, the lead singer of U2, said that he has realized the redistribution of resources won't help poor people the way that commerce and entrepreneurial capitalism will help them.

The iconic musician and humanitarian made the comments during an interview with the New York Times published Monday. He talked about starting out as a left-wing activist but eventually realizing that capitalism helps the most poor people.
Quote:

"[We have a] snobby attitude about business and big business, we sort of demonize it," he said. "And actually, you know, you go to the developing world and jobs are the most dignifying thing that you could offer somebody. Because people have work, they can sort out their own problems."
Such a simple thought that is so resisted by so many "educated" elites.

Hmmm imagine that a young liberal doing well, he starts accumulating wealth and gets older. His views change and instead of putting all his wealth into the community box for redistribution, he wants to keep it for his own lineage. Amazing!

He's held that opinion for a long time. He's involved in a lot of African charities. He's stated that all of the donated goods flowing to Africa is killing businesses. No businesses, and the people remain dependent on the handouts. His example is why buy from a clothing shop when there are shiploads of free clothes flowing into the region?

While I have a low opinion of the mostly ignorant, self absorbed and self righteous actors and entertainers involving themselves in politics, I give Bono the credit for doing real humanitarian work and not just photo ops like most do. He has actively worked with business to engage (not coerce) them in helping people. Very atypical for an entertainer.

Looks like he finally took the final dose of red pill and realized what conservatives have known all along. Capitalism, not socialism, is the only way to lift people out of poverty and increase the standard of living and wealth of the entire population.
We may not always get what we want. We may not always get what we need. Just so we don't get what we deserve.

He was the guy touting "the rich need to pay their fair share," while he had his music royalties funneled through Ireland.

And when Ireland decided to tax him, he moved them out.

Love much of the music U2 produced but it didn't take long to see he never really bought in to what he claimed he was fighting for.
That describes 100% of rich democrats/libs/commies

Episode 162...

Quote:

When Randy Marsh took the "world's biggest crap", the European Fecal Standards and Measurements Board revealed that Bono was the previous holder of the record. Furious at someone beating him and making him "number 2", he proceeds to take a massive crap of his own, beating out Randy.

When Stan begins investigating Bono's odd behavior, it is revealed that Bono did not take the world's biggest crap, but actually is the world's biggest crap, once taken by a ranking member of the EFSMB. He was transformed from crap into a human being when the board member fed him breast milk from his own chest. This explained why he could do so much good and accomplish so many great things, and still appear to be a piece of crap.

Our very own Chris Fields learned this lesson in Africa years ago. You simply cannot buy them out of poverty and buy away their issues. You have to teach them to be self reliant and give them the educational tools to pull themselves out of the situation they are in. Monetary assistance helps tremendously, but it has to be done correctly to not create dependence.

Too little too late. White libs already screwed Native Americans and blacks with their feelz. The road to hell is paved with white liberal intentions.
