-comments made earlier in the day during a JPMorgan investor seminar where he led a fireside chat moderated by JPMorgan's Gergana Thiel, Dimon made some extremely outspoken comments which however you won't hear on the mainstream media, telling a small group of listeners that was closed to the press that the "President of the Unites States needs to stand up and say we may not meet our 2050 climate objectives because this is a ****ing war"

He also said "time to stop going hat in hand to Venezuela and Saudi and start pumping more oil & gas in the USA"

Echoing what he has said before, Jamie said this is the way the USA maintains its standing, as the future of the world is by pumping more oil and gas and using energy security to ensure Western unity.

And he did say when it comes to ESG "investors don't give a ****" warning not to "cede governance to do-gooder kids on a committee".

Finally, he stressed the need for strong American leadership that is not being provided by either party. His conclusion: the world needs American diplomacy and neither Trump or Biden can lead the USA.

It looks like it was a closed meeting (no press).

This the kind of thing said behind closed doors. Good to hear the largest bank in the US is really thinking.

Also indicates which way the big money wants to go w the election.

During obama's second year in office, Jamie Dimon, a lifelong democrat, stated in an interview that "these days I'm barely a democrat" and went on to criticize all of obama's antibusiness legislations and appointments. It received a lot of play and almost immediately the DOJ went after Chase and over the next couple of years fined them 3 or 4 times for billions of dollars. Even the libs on CNBC said that it had gotten "personal". Dimon pretty much shut up after that.

Jamie Dimon along with many other top CEO's have been asleep at the wheel. Too little and too late ! They should all be ashamed at their silence in watching the disintegration of our nation !

Dimon is a good politician, actually one of the best in the country. He said those things knowing it was going to leak out. He knows the GOP is about to control Congress and he's going to be in their ear.

JP Morgan also cancelled Kanye right after he called BLM a scam and wore a White Lives Matter t shirt.

Kind of don't either. We are at a place where we need all the help we can get regardless of his sincerity. Hopefully, his comments make it into policy at his own company.

The US could have transitioned 100% of daytime power to wind and solar for the price of the COVID bailouts.

Agree with all of this. Hell yeah
I'm not sure if people genuinely believe someone is going to say, "Wow, if some people say I'm a moron for not believing this, it clearly must be true."

It's not much a persuasive argument. It really just sounds like a bunch of miniature dachshunds barking because the first one one barked when it thought it heard something.

Fine with installing Dimon as President given his clear insight and grasp of the way forward. Ignoring Leftist agendas and scrapping ESG and Green delusions in favor of American becoming the remaining supplier and powerhouse to hold the West together...;

That's the way.

Hey Jamie! It's a bit late to speak out against a lot of this when this firm sends me daily emails on sustainable investing and sometimes ESG. JPM is pushing this and you've been leading us down this path for years. The time to speak out was years ago.

These bank honchos are all crooks. All they care about is how to make more and more money. Look at everything through this lens and don't trust their big talk.
