I liked the way he voted often, but his language around Kav and Trump indicated he wanted to be liked more than be right.

Kavanaugh was a big step back for him. Frankly will spot anyone like him a mulligan for being critical of Jan6. It looks absolutely chaotic at the very best, and far worse in some interpretations. If he didn't have a big step backwards moment like ACA this is just a case of -- as above said maybe putting too much emphasis on wanting to be liked on the Hill. Perhaps.

Was going by what c-jags said. What he meant was liked by the establishment, not the voters. But don't really see that he was some kind of kiss-up to the MSM either for that matter.
